Take it with a grain of salt.
Bought this Feb 2025.I love the layout of the book it’s easy to follow along, get a refresher and would be easy in theory to teach kids with however I would recommend fully reading each book by the Workman before handing them to your kids as there may be typos like; water is (CO2) not (H2O) in the Chemistry book but it’s correct in the biology book and it doesn’t cover everything which I wouldn’t expect it to for the price. If you look at the 1-3 Star reviews they mention a few they believe are typos unfortunately they don’t mention what pages they are on or show the full page,Some commented that it says the Protons are Negative, my copy states it correctly (Picture above) I have found some of the other pages people were talking about and taken pictures with the page number included. Some books like the Biology book talk about LGBTQ+ genders (in pictures above) and the English Language Arts books has non-binary pronouns I haven’t heard of.I have no problem with the LGBTQ community but it’s a topic I would like to talk with my child about myself when I choose is the best time not learn it from a school book at random.According to reviews on the History book it is biased as it makes it sound like the Nazis weren’t targeting the Jews among many other historical issues and never mentions anything women have done).I intend to have some more proficient in Chemistry review the book for errors, I will update more than.

You want to learn chemistry, this the book for you!
This book is amazing! The main reason I bought this book was that, i am studying for my doctor degree in pharmacy and there is a lot of concept that i don’t remember because its been a while. This book help you understand the basics and it get you to a higher level of knowledge in chemistry. Its doesn’t matter if you have a degree in biology with a minor in chemistry like me or you want to learn chemistry. Doesn’t matter the circumstances, you will learn easy and fast.

Great book, some errors though
This book is great and very educational, HOWEVER on the periodic table (pages 138 & 139) the Groups and Periods are switched, and on the chapter with electron configuration, it explains nothing of how to write or configure electron configuration.
