Excellent Holster That Can Be Easily Modified
I bought two of these and they’re great. I have a Samsung S23 Ultra with an IQ Shield anti-glare soft screen protector, which would get temporarily damaged by a sharp corner on this holster. The first picture (circled in red in two places) shows where I rounded both sharp corners with a Dremel. The rubber-lined spring-loaded phone retainer would press on the power button when the phone is inserted, so I used a wire brush attachment at high speed in the Dremel to make a button relief cut. I understand that.these modifications will void the warranty, but I’m willing to do that. From what I can tell, this is the most robust phone holster solution on the market that doesn’t take up too much belt space (like OtterBox or Supcase brands). The phone case I’m using is a Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro, which came with its own holster, which is just OK but takes up too much belt area when the phone isn’t mounted. The Ghostek holster is much better and now perfect with my modifications. The spring-loaded retainer is strong enough to keep the phone in place but isn’t too difficult to install and remove the phone when necessary. Buy with confidence!

Keeping It Simple Ain’t Stupid
Finally! A clip on phone holster that does just that without fumbling to fit the phone in it. Simple in design makes it extremely functional and fast for removing the phone and securing it. No bulk! So very simple and so very strong in holding the phone and did I mention, securely?! Whoever thought of this should have been given a week off with a pay raise and a closer parking space! You Done Good!!

Pricey, But Pretty Good
I was looking for holsters for my Galaxy S25 Edge and came across this little gem. It securely holds my phone, even with a drop protection case, while I perform moderate outdoor tasks. However, I can see the phone potentially coming loose because it relies on a spring for holding pressure, which might lose its grip if subjected to a sharp hit. When not in use, it fits easily in your pocket and takes up almost no space on your nightstand. The only issue I notice is the lack of screen protection. If you carry a clip knife in your pocket, the phone could tilt to the side and come into contact with the metal clip, although there’s usually plenty of clearance. I thought this was worth mentioning.

UPDATE! Lost it’s grip after 4 months
I’m leaving my previous review below, as it was initially the best option I could find. But four months later the holster has significantly lost it’s grip, causing the phone to fall out with normal daily activity. After the second drop in a week (fell to the garage floor when getting out of my car) I can no longer trust it. The spring loaded grip has simply weakened too much to hold the phone securely. Initially it was a very tight grip, I’ve submitted a warranty claim to Ghostek via email. Will report back on how that goes.PREVIOUS REVIEW: =================Overall this is a great clip that has become my EDC with Samsung S25 Ultra. Knocking off one star for a personal annoyance that could be fixed with a minor design mod (I may do this myself): A divot/trough in the upper pad to accommodate the side button on Samsung Galaxy phones would be much appreciated — as-is, it has to be inserted into the clip slightly forward of center, to avoid constant pressure on that side button. This causes the phone to hang at a somewhat awkward angle, unless you have a very wide belt or rotate it back a notch to compensate. This is a small bug, and otherwise the clip functions very well and has a strong hold on the phone (very confident it will not give way during normal use). That said, after getting used to inserting and removing it (positioned appropriately so as not to press a side button on the phone), it works perfectly with a Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro (large, kickstand case with its own MASSIVE belt clip — this one’s much smaller footprint is a welcome improvement) and even carrying the phone naked! Currently I’m using it with a cheap ONN case, which is slim/minimal with a kickstand but no belt clip. Guess I’m the “old grandpa” type that wants my phone on a belt clip instead of occupying a pocket, and this clip is the solution to those looking for a great belt clip with their favorite case, when your case lacks its own belt clip. I do have one other request from Ghostek, if you’re listening, PLEASE consider a slightly wider-opening model to accommodate the likes of the NEEWER PA082 phone cage. The phone cage’s 4″ width makes it far too snug of a fit to comfortable insert/remove from this clip. I know I’m not the only one out there seeking a solution for that combo! Though disappointed I cannot routinely use it with the phone cage, I’m very happy with it as a belt clip solution to practically any other case on the market that lacks it’s own.

Not quite universal.Doesn’t grip tight enough to hold phone while running, not okay for all other circumstances.Okay as a kickstand, but has to be off center on Pixel phones or it presses the volume buttons.

Weak grip, not for people with a bit of a tummy!
This is far too expensive for the weak grip & its inability to hold your device if it gets bumped! If not for my Otterbox case my phone would be destroyed because it has gotten knocked out & hit the ground over a dozen times! Also, I am not fat but i am a little chubby & have to wear this a bit towards the back or it pinches the heck out of me everytime i remove my phone & it closes the expansion! Everytime my phone gets bumped or i sit down my phone pops out of the clip because it does not grip tight enough & the rubber in the clip that “gently” holds your phone is too soft to hold your phone! Finally, the clip holds down your side power button & other buttons if you try to center your phone in the clip. This is simply far too expensive for such poor design & performance! At least it isn’t too bulky like other generic belt clips.

Best clip ever. When I purchased this clip I assumed a clip is a clip…i didn’t set my expectations that high. This clip is surprisingly impressed me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra phone with a terabyte of storage…translated to dollars it retails for $1,699. Point being, I rely on this clip to secure my phone. And it does so without fail. For years, I relied on a major brand with a large box-type clip to “Defend” my phones. My phones had a tendency to fall out. This clip works without fail, takes up less belt space when phone is in use, and it has fit every belt size I have worn.

I love wearing track bottoms and my phone used to fall off especially when getting off the car so much that it would fall onto hard surfaces.When i got this gadget it really transformed a lot in that area. I just click my phone and fasten it onto my pocket at it never falls off anymore. Now i don’t need need to keep changing my phone screen protector etc.Another positive thing about it is it’s compatible with a wide variety of smartphones from small to big ones. I recommend it and would but it again if i lose it. It’s my everyday gadget now

I love this holster as it mimics the beloved Otterbox Defender clip, without the bulk.It allows for slimmer cases to be used and a more universal fit. The ONLY pitfall I’ve run into is with time, the rubber gripping your device wears down the case on your phone. At least in my case.After light use over about a year, I had to replace the case (not a big deal, just the case was perfect otherwise and not cheap).Would highly recommend!!! It’s the only solution I’ve found that achieved the same purpose with such minimal bulk and universal fit.
