Very solidly built case form-fit to the 6L EKG, but which also fits the new 6L Max which was very recently released. Case has one of the most resilient hinges I’ve seen on such a waterproof case. The latch is thick enough that it won’t be easily broken, and the rubbery inset that holds the device doubles as a very thick waterproof seal for the lid. I dunked it in a sink full of water for a half hour, and at the end of that time the inside was completely dry.The opaque lid obscures the device inside completely, which might cause someone at the TSA to open it to check contents – but the device fit is such that it won’t fall out even if shaken. You need to use one of the insets at the ends of the cutout to insert a fingertip to pull it out.I bounced this thing off a tile floor from 3 foot counter height repeatedly, resulting in no scuffs, scrapes, cracks or other damage. If you carry this ECG with you as you travel – as I do – this will provide great protection. You get a lot for the cost, and I highly recommend this for anyone with a 6L or 6L Max who doesn’t want to risk damaging their device in everyday life.

Terrible for the Price
When I opened this case from ClaspVital, the first thing I noticed was how nice the moulded silicone insert is. The next thing I noticed was the interface between the lid and the body of the case (or lack thereof). Waterproof? Not even close.The marketing images show this case superimposed over a puddle in the pouring rain alongside its “waterproof” claim, but this case does not create a seal — a proper dry box (which this is clearly designed to resemble), usually has a tongue-and-groove interface between the lid and body along with a gasket to become waterproof when closed. This case does not have that. The lid (which has no tongue or groove) simply sits over the top of the silicone insert (which is flat all the way to its edge) — this is the same thing as putting a silicone coaster over the top of a drinking glass and calling it “waterproof.”I tested my assumptions by cutting a small piece of a paper towel to place in the case and then submerging it into a glass of water for whopping 60 seconds. The result: Look at my pictures. The paper towel is soaked. Water also entered under the silicone insert, which is applied with what appears to be CA glue and is not meant to be removed. The only way to dry that off was by removing the insert very carefully and hoping for the best. The lack of seal is so bad that I even question the “sweatproof” and “dustproof” claims.Two stars because the case will conceivably protect your device just fine if you don’t expect to prevent water ingress, but even then, the hold of the front latch is very weak, and I can almost guarantee that the case will pop open (and maybe even break the latch) the first time you drop it onto a hard surface. Not worth $18.
