Rechargeable, Portable Heart Monitor Really WORKS! ;o)
Hello there, nice to meet you! ;o)I have a senior family member who is coping with AFib, and I got this portable heart monitor so he can check things out in-between his doctor visits with reasonable accuracy. As it so happens, the doctor was quite pleased that I took this action to make sure all was well. This portable heart monitor is nice and small, and well made– with a clearly visible screen that illustrates Heart Rate, the EKG pattern, along with time stamps and means of keeping a history to share on future medical visits. The kit comes with two EKG electrodes, 10 disposable electrode sticky patches, an instruction manual, a small velvet drawstring bag, a neck strap, and a USB-Micro to USB-A charging cable. You do need to provide your own charging brick, though. Now for the nitty gritty:The screen is vibrant and clear, and easy to read. This monitor has a unique feature for taking readings without the electrodes, by simple placement of the ‘lead’ sensor that is directly mounted on the side of the device– of certain areas of the body after selecting that particular mode on the screen menu. I was able to get readings from the palm of my hand, a certain part of my left chest, and lower abdomen for example, without having to connect the EKG electrodes. The results were fairly accurate, a good thing. The resulting summary was quick as well. It simply WORKS, no muss, no fuss! ;o)Lastly, the Livenpace app is simple to use, and communicates with his iPhone beautifully– the important details transferred seamlessly, at the ready for him to share with his doctor. Which is the whole point of acquiring this important information/data in the first place. I did format this data as a PDF for future use, and now my family member has a portable archive that is accessible at any time.I would venture to suggest to the seller/manufacturer to kindly supply a small, hard shell case to protect this instrument, to be assured of this device reliability over time.I highly recommend this worthwhile heart monitor device, as it can be lifesaving. Needless to say, its value is priceless, you know?Give this Livenpace Heart Monitor for Home Use, Portable Heart Device with Touch Screen and Storage, Compatible with PC and Smartphone, Rechargeable Battery, HHM4 (Blue) a try… I don’t think you’ll regret your purchase.***********************************************************May Your Upcoming Spring Be Colorful and Full Of FUN! ;o)Cheerio and Best of Luck in all your endeavors! Hopefully, this review was helpful.
Quackers –
Resolution may not be good enough for doctor to interpret.
This is a simple one/two lead ECG recorder for people who have concerns about their heart rhythm. As the manual states repeatedly, it is not for diagnosis or treatment. That said, let’s take a look at it. There are three electrode contacts, the round on the front, the square one on the back and the long one on the left side. You need to moisten the skin where the electrodes will be in contact. The device is sensitive to muscle artifacts and changes in pressure on the contacts, light makes right. Do not attempt to just hold the recorder, you should support the arms to avoid noise. The recorder can run for 30 seconds, 1 and 5 minutes. Thirty seconds is a very long time if you are holding absolutely still. For those who can’t hold still, a pair of electrode cables are provided to plug into the USB port on the side of the machine. Also included are ten multi-use electrode pads that the supplier says are good for up to 50 uses. Now that you have the recording, what are you going to do with it? Not post it to Reddit, and ask the millions of trained electrophysiologists (/s), that’s for sure. The recorder will supply very minimal interpretation, such as heart rate, if irregularity is detected, and not much else. The software itself is very minimal and won’t win awards for being user-friendly. Apps are available through the QR code in the manual for Apple and Android devices. In order to use the app, you will need to pair your device through the settings menu. Once you are paired, the app will sit there with a blank page. You must go back to settings/Bluetooth, and the app will slowly download your recording. This is true for the PC connection as well. A separate app is required for that as well. Reports can be converted to PDF files and emailed through the recorder, if the recorder has been paired with an internet connected device. I deducted two stars for the abysmal apps and the poor device menu functions.
