Great for a mid-priced laptop
So far, so good. Incredibly easy to get up and running. Love the bigger screen size compared to our old Dell, and the size won’t matter as I won’t travel with it often. And even though I had read that HP uses more plastic, it actually feels higher quality than our old Dell. Will update my review if I run into any issues, but I really like it so far.

Good Quality and Value for the Price.
Day three and so far so good. Blindingly fast and easy to use. Love the big 17.3 inch HDR screen. I have one small bone to pick. I prefer to keep the taskbar on auto hide. It worked great on day 1, but hasn’t worked since. A small annoyance at best. Most likely a software glitch. Just hope it doesn’t take forever to iron out. Otherwise very happy.

Great computer with large screen
I purchased this for my elderly parents. It came on time. It was very easy to setup for them and show them how to use it. We mainly got this so they’d have Windows 11 and they could take it around their home instead of having a desktop in one location. It has a larger screen but is still light weight. They are very happy with it.

Good computer especially for the price
I just got this and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I did not expect it to be as good as it is, with the exception it is a 2024, but for the price and how good it works, I’m happy. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a casual use computer. I did some light gaming and it worked fine.

Solid laptop for school/work – can even run modern games on lower graphics. Played Elden Ring on a plane with decent frame rate, can’t complain. Love the large screen size.

Severe issue maintaining WiFi connectivity
I generally liked this laptop and would have rated in the 3 – 4 star range. There are not many options out there for a 17″ screen laptop at reasonable prices and this one seemed like a good choice. Unfortunately, it had a severe problem maintaining connectivity to my wifi network. It seemed like on every click on a link to connect to a website, it failed to do so and I had to go through all the steps to re-establish connectivity. I tried it for several days and spent hours hoping that the problem would subside. I also tried turning off the power management feature that would turn off the wifi connection, switched between the private network – public network choices, and checked to make sure I had the latest driver for the chip. Nothing worked.If you surf the net and even in the Amazon reviews for this model laptop, you will find that network connectivity is not a strong suit of HP. I knew that before making the purchase. I also saw that a significant majority of the reviews on this site for this laptop were positive. So I decided to take a chance. It did not work out for me. I considered getting an identical replacement but, in the end, I bought another laptop from a different manufacturer. The new laptop, being used in the same spot as the HP, has had no problems with wifi connectivity.In summary, the HP laptop seemed like a good machine and would have satisfied my requirements. However, without consistent wifi connectivity it was totally unacceptable to me.
