LIke new and perfect for me
I am very happy with this like-new reconditioned 14″ HP chromebook. I received model 14a-na0031wm (printed on the bottom of the laptop) but it has the faster N5030 CPU, not the N5000 which is advertised. Nice! It also has 4Gb RAM and 64Gb eMMC drive.The screen is 1366×768 which seems fine to me. I’m sure if I saw it next to a FHD IPS monitor I would prefer the latter, but I notice no issues. It’s entirely satisfactory for my purposes. I have no interest in a touch screen, so I’m happy not to have to pay extra for one.The speakers are the best I’ve had on a laptop. No, you won’t hear deep thumping bass but the sound is nice and rich and with plenty of volume.The builtin webcam is marginal. Be sure you have lots of light on your face or it will be grainy. Or get an external USB webcam.Performance is great! Browsing the internet, watching YouTube videos, etc feels much faster than my Windows 10 laptop, even though that machine has a MUCH more powerful processor and 6x as much RAM.Battery life is easily 10 hours with my pattern of usage. Probably more but I haven’t run it down any lower.If your usage is mainly web browsing, I think you’d be happy with this unit. I certainly am.

Fantastic Chromebook
Its my first time to buy Chromebook. First of all, the price is so attractive for me because it provides N5030 cpu and 4GB ram, so it’s a cost effective chromebook. Secondly, even this is refurbished product but it almost like a brand new without any scratch and damage. Thirdly, battery life is unbelievable that it can long last up to 12hours when i set contrast to 60%. I have apple MBP 2020 with i7 cpu but its very hot and battery can use up to 3-4hours. My purpose for this Chromebook is web surfing, youtube, elearning. It’s very a my cup of tea. In advanced, it can install linux for advanced user.

My high end Amazon HP ‘refurbished’ chomebook failed after 7 months, so I downgraded to this. With a 2 yr warranty this time, I paid $250. That’s cheap, and yet I don’t feel it’s a bargain.Everything is adequate, but my ancient 1st gen chromebook easily matches this book. I really should have spent more money and bought a brand with a better reputation. HP used to be high quality, but as is so often the case, their quality has slipped to worse than avg.If you buy HP, buy the extended warranty, as many complaints about them stem from their lack of factory support on warranty claims.The keyboard is decent, the “B & O” sound is…ok on a $200 book, the same sound was on my higher end HP, which was disappointing at the $639 msrp.Functions work ok, the pokey N5000 dual core processor runs much cooler than M core quad core one did, both are sealed and fanless. The Ad Block Plus is preinstalled, tons of free apps downoad, start up time is under 10 secs, keyboard better than avg all in all, if your familiar with chromebook you’ll feel at home on this one. Just don’t expect too much, it sure ain’t a Toshiba!Or a Dell, or a Sony.Chris

Could have been new!
I was a little hesitant buying a refurbished unit but this Chromebook could well have been new. Not a scratch on it. Plugged it in and fired it up. Works like a charm. This was just a basic unit. Not a lot of features. Just perfect for my needs. Great deal overall.

Nice and speedy
I had a older HP 4 Gb chromebook that only had Chrome 79. Due to the age of the Chrome browser it gave me a few problems with certain sites. It was EOL, but still worked. This new one is faster and much lighter. I did nail file down the back “decorative” plastic trim part. The sharp edges hit my legs when wearing shorts was a hassle. A 2 min file job and everything is great. It’s a “refurb” but from 2021. So I have 6 years of updates.

CPU is actually the N5030
I have other devices for higher resolution viewing. The intent of this device (for me) was to be a daily browsing, emailing, news reading, shopping etc. I chose the Pentium version of this model for the four cores as opposed to the Celeron’s two. To my surprise the model they sent IS this years and has the Pentium Silver N5030.Bottom line – this Chromebook is zippy. I have lots of tabs and as many as 3 – 4 other apps open and it does not bogged down. If I did need higher resolution viewing I’d just add a small FHD USB portable monitor. This model’s graphics could handle it.
