1 star (Christmas gift not working)Got this for my son and it literally won’t hold a charge the moment we took it out of box. Literally stays on 0%. As soon as you take charger out the laptop shuts off. Definitely returning because can’t use itUpdate January 2024I did reach out to hp and they fixed the laptop and sent it back once it was fixed. So now 5 stars since it works

WINDOWS 11 HOME is IN S MODE, description incorrect
The description is incorrect. They offer Windows Home 11 but the box says it is in “S Mode”. When I inquired as to whether they had the correct Windows system installed – because they had upgraded this computer with more RAM so maybe they fixed that…. but then they gave me instructions for going online to make the changes myself (see below). Unacceptable.Windows 11 S mode customers can only install programs from Microsoft Store, they are not able to install programs from other sources. I purposefully ordered this product WITHOUT S Mode so I wouldn’t have to deal with limitations, or jump through hoops (like these instructions) to ‘maybe’ get what I want:Dear customer,The Windows 11 home in s mode can shift to the Windows 11 home freely. You could follow these steps to do that:1. For Windows 11 in S mode version, open Settings > System > Activation2. In the Switch to Windows 11 Pro section, select Go to the Store.3. On the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page, select the Get button.After you see a confirmation message, you’ll be able to access the Windows 11 home.I do not know if the instructions eliminate the limitations. In addition, the initial post said they’d deliver in one week but when I ordered it changed to two weeks.Anyway, Amazon was very helpful and I returned it within 24 hours. There was no exchange option. 🙁

Decent for the Price
It is decent for the price and it was supposed to be new. The speed is no issue. The size and the screen is ok for the price point I chose. It was easy to set up. It runs on all the up to date programs. It does sometimes turn off for no reason or be hard to turn on, so much so that I be thinking it’s going to die and not come back on (but this I think is an HP issue not the seller). It came with a free year of Microsoft Suite which is a huge selling point. However, I have learned a lot over the last week ab buying products like this on Amazon. So if I have to buy another laptop from Amazon. I would buy the Amazon renewed premium since it has a 1yr warranty and comes with a check list of what was tested, battery life, etc.

After many tries, finally was able to run Windows update.
Memory is 64 GB. The available memory was only 16 GB. To run a Windows update, the memory was not enough. It gave options for external USB use to run an update. After almost 20 hours of tries, it was updated. Later after disk cleanup run, memory free was 24 GB. This was bought like new and saved me $60+. I am glad finally updated to latest Windows update. It is working fine right now.

Disappointing Performance from a Brand New Computer — Would Not Recommend
Despite being a brand new device, this computer runs painfully slow. I expected it to be fast and responsive, but instead, it’s barely usable for even the most basic tasks. One of the most frustrating issues is the extremely limited storage space — there’s barely enough room to install essential apps, let alone anything beyond that. Because of this, the computer often freezes, lags, or fails to open basic programs, which makes it almost unusable for everyday use.I’m genuinely disappointed, and I definitely couldn’t recommend this to anyone. A new computer should be able to handle basic performance needs without frustration. If anyone has suggestions for how to speed things up, I’d be very glad to try them — but as it stands now, this has been a poor investment.

I bought this laptop for work purposes. It’s great so far, the only downside for me was that it doesn’t have an Ethernet port, I had to buy an adapter but it works well and they battery last long, good size and great keyboard quality ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

El artículo qué es una laptop, desde el primer día que ka conecté, no encendió la pantalla, solo emite destellos luminosos. Y ha sido un problema su devolución muchas trabas qué si por la batería de litio, que el precio de envío ya qué es un producto de importación. He quedado muy defraudada en mi primer compra por amazon. Qué lastima!
