This joystick brings back so many childhood memories! Works perfectly with my retro gaming setup and feels just like the original. A Blast from the Past! Perfect for Retro Gaming.
This joystick is pure nostalgia! I bought it specifically for playing classic arcade and Atari-era games on my computer, and it has been an absolute joy to use. It really captures the feel of those old-school arcade cabinets.Setup was as simple as it get, I just plugged it into a USB port, and it was ready to go. My PC recognized it instantly, making it easy to configure in my emulation software. The joystick itself feels solid and has that classic, clicky response you want for retro games. The buttons are well-placed and responsive. It feels much more authentic to play these old favorites with a proper joystick instead of a modern gamepad or a keyboard. Don’t be afraid of buying this joystick.
This is a great joystick. As long as you don’t vigorously move the joystick, it won’t break. I use it with my openemu emulator on my Mac mini, and works great. Their are extra buttons on this joystick so your able to map them to other game functions or console functions. I recommend it, but like I say, moving the joystick will probably break off if rapidly and vigorously move it back and forth, I’m sure that would happen to an original atari 2600 joystick too. Those pictures others put that show the joystick broke off was probably cause of what I mentioned, cause mine still works and have had it for quite some time. Like a year.

Does not work with Windows as advertised
It is a shame. The joystick appears to be built really well, and it’s very comfortable to hold. It’s the closest thing to an original Atari joystick you can get in a retro joystick. I am running Windows 10 and I have the most up-to-date drivers and none of them work with this joystick. I have bought many other joysticks from other manufacturers and had no issues with the plug and play. This was the first one that did not work. And when you talk to Support, they will just tell you it’s your fault not their problem.

Works GREAT for emulation
Great little joystick. If you’re using an Atari emulator (Stella) on your PC, this is the perfect companion. Its got enough buttons on it to emulate the switches on the original Atari, but it doesn’t all work out of the box, just the core joystick functions.. You WILL have to map the select buttons and such, which isn’t hard to do at all. You simply find the command you want the button to do in the software, click map and the press the appropriate button on the joystick.The joystick itself is very responsive and smooth, much easier to use then the stiff joysticks from the original Atari. People who are saying this doesn’t work don’t understand how joystick mapping works.

Great game-play, poor longevity
UPDATE AFTER 5 MONTHS:After working great, it just stopped connecting to my Windows 10 PC one day, throwing an error several seconds after what appeared to be a successful connection. After extensive troubleshooting to rule out my PC, this joystick is definitely a rip-off!Original review:So far so good! flows nicely without that annoying clickity-click feel of some recent joysticks (where it’s pretty much buttons under the rubber). Seems sturdy enough if you are not particularly aggressive with your gaming. In my case the extra buttons have been a nuisance that I cannot figure out how to map in my emulator (Altirra), so I had to deactivate them in the emulator. Still, for this price, it’s a good deal.

no driver support
Seems like a good quality joystick. I purchased it for my mother to play Pac Mac on her computer. Unfortuantely, I can’t get the joystick to work correctly. It doesn’t come with any drivers or software.I’m not sure if it’s USB class compliant or not but I can’t get it to work correctly.

This is certainly a well made product but I found it too stiff to be really effective playing the retro games I wanted it for so decided to return it. Love the ‘Atari’ design but perhaps nostalgia isn’t always what you remember. 😉

O controle é robusto, tem uma construção de boa qualidade e um cabo bastante longo. Em comparação ao original do Atari, tem o curso da alavanca um pouco mais longo, e os comandos não tem o clique característico, mas oferece bastante precisão. Funciona bem no PC e no Raspberry Pi. É reconhecido facilmente e tem 4 botões adicionais para configuração. Ótima aquisição para uso em emuladores.
