Reading some of these stories to a four year old and stop because it tells how a greedy couple mercilessly kill the goose that lays golden eggs and find only blood when they plot to kill the goose and take the eggs from its belly. So not appropriate, for children especially. How about the moral be to not cause nightmares

Short tales,many very well known, each with a useful moral lesson at the end, about the importance of friendship, loyalty, etc.. Our 4yr old grandson loves them as bedtime stories.

These storybooks are really good for small kids. The pictures are very colorful and attract children immediately. The stories are short, easy to read, and teach good moral values. Perfect for bedtime reading and also useful for improving vocabulary and phonics. My child enjoys every book in the set. Definitely worth buying

These moral stories are OK, but 3 contain death!!I didn’t read through them before letting my granddaughter choose one at bedtime. The golden egg story has quite grafic descriptions of death and blood. My granddaughter was not upset by this, but it did raise some trickt questions that I wasn’t prepared for at the time.I have removed 3 stories to jerp until she is older. The others are fine.
