KP200 incorporates XTS-AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption. It also is FIPS 140-3 Level 3 (Pending) certified for military-grade security with enhancements that further elevate the bar for data protection. Its circuitry is covered by a layer of special epoxy that makes it virtually impossible to remove components without damaging them; this tough epoxy stops attacks against the semiconductor components. The drive is designed to be tamper-evident to alert owners. It also incorporates Brute Force password attack protection, and BadUSB protection with digitally signed firmware. The alphanumeric keypad is coated with a layer of polymer that protects the keys and hides key usage through analysis of fingerprints on the keys.

Rock-Solid Secure USB Drive From a Trusted Brand
This is a great secure USB flash drive for keeping valuable files safe on the go. I like that it has a USB-C connector, which makes it really convenient to use with modern laptops, tablets, and my Android phone — no adapters needed.I use it interchangeably between my PC and phone, and it’s completely OS-independent, so I don’t have to worry about installing extra software. The physical keypad is easy to use and gives me extra confidence that my data is well protected, with strong XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption and FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification.Although it feels a bit pricey for an 8GB drive, I trust Kingston and their IronKey line — they’ve always made durable, high-quality storage solutions. For me, the peace of mind is worth it. My data is valuable, and I trust this solution to keep it secure, especially with features like brute force protection and BadUSB safeguards. If you need a rugged, highly secure USB drive you can take anywhere without worrying about operating system compatibility or extra software, this is a smart investment. Highly recommended for anyone serious about protecting sensitive files while on the go!

Crypto’s New Best Friend! Great for keeping passphrases safe along with important documents.
Great for keeping documents safe and even better as a crypto cold wallet. Clear instructions, easy to use and super safe if you happen to lose it, but don’t… Love the tamper-proof protection against Brute Force and BadUSB.

Any complaints come from tech illiterate
I’ve purchased two of these Kingston IronKey keypad 200 drives, one with USB-A in 64 GB and one with USB-C in 128 GB and they really are phenomenal to use, plenty intuitive, and very secure in my experience. I also bought the Apricorn on 8 GB to test it out and it’s essentially a clone of this Kingston drive however, I can say I prefer the Kingston IronKey to the Apricorn due to build quality, although they are very close in comparison, and the more updated protection the Kingston model has over the particular Apricorn I purchased. That may not still be the case so compare specs.I read several reviews on this IronKey and, unfortunately, nearly all of the complaints I read were from users who are having a hard time comprehending and using the technology and need a bit of hand holding through the setup and use process. It’s pretty obvious that many of them are memorizing the steps in the instructions to lock/unlock/read/write with this drive instead of understanding how it functions and the meaning behind the feedback it provides through its blinking or steady combinations of blue, red, and green lights. I’m not sure most of those users understand the difference in the drive being locked and charging, unlocked in read/write, unlocked in read only, unlocked in admin, or locked and in setup mode.Personally, I find this drive very easy to use and understand the mode it’s in. The instructions were simple and straightforward. I only wish the Kingston IronKey was made in the U.S. or basically anywhere other than China.

Very strong security
I feel that with this type of storage device my data is secure. The idea of having the log-in on the device itself makes it virtually invisible to a computer unless the password has been applied.

Good So Far
No problems so far. But I do fear that one day this thing is gonna lock me out. So I need to have a backup drive for it. Only time will tell in regard to that and also regarding durability. It also seems you don’t get enough time to set up a long password so I had to make my password shorter than I wanted to. But smooth sailing so far.

USB drive construction is brittle!! Beware
From Encrypted USB functionality, this is a great device! The keypad is very useful, you dont need to run an OS specific application to decrypt the drive. It is easy as entering your code combinationReliability is an issue. Today, my USB drive was accidentially dropped and the top portio of the drive was fully detached. It seems that the housing construction gets very brittle over a period of time. Not recommended

Great To Have Secure Files
This was the answer to a long time security issue with my sensitive files. They are pricey but I expect them to last a long time. Once it’s set up, it’s a cinch. No prob.

Absolut sicher durchdachtes System.
