Must have!
Excellent phone! Everything as described, arrived early. Was switching from a smartphone to a flip phone to reduce screen time and this thing fit the bill. Thanks!

Sturdy and easy to use
Fairly easy to use, and sturdy enough to not need a protective case. This product has been dropped, thrown, had water spilled on it, and was chewed on by a toddler, with no damage. Fairly easy to text with, and sound is OK. Compatible with our Verizon plan. Smaller than most smartphones and larger than most other flip phones; a little heavy in the pocket but manageable. Our previous phone of this type had problems charging its battery, but this one is fine so far (several months after start of use). Probably the best phone available for those who don’t want a smartphone.

Really GOOD Phone but it’s BIG
It is a Renewed Phone, although you can’t tell, because it arrived in Excellent, Good as New Condition. It works really well. I didn’t give it a 5 Star because its bigger and bulkier, and heavier than I expected. I am going to keep and use it camping etc when it’s rugged, water proofness will be a blessing. But Day-to-Day it’s too big for pockets

Cool
Excellent condition. NO sim card. Needed to order a $3.99 US Mobile SIM card kit and install the dark star micro card. Instructions are poor from Kyocera. Need to insert sim card into port after pulling up the entire gray strip. Texting is abysmal and camera quality is poor with no flash. However, what did you expect with a “dumb” phone! Makes me feel like it’s 2002 again.

Battery may be required to be replaced
Phone was fine got it to replace an identical one we got for my mother.Only downside is the battery that came with it. It only lasted a couple of months. It’s a refurbished phone so I don’t think they check the battery on it. Before shipping one out.Looking at replacement batteries on amazon decided to purchase an original battery from the manufacturer. The ones on Amazon had several different vendors but one prevailing reaction to them was their short lifespan. It lasts my mom around 5 days between recharging. So everyone is satisfied with it now.

A heavy duty, rugged flip phone
This phone is a much heavier duty version of my (till now) current phone. I first charged the battery to full, and took both phones to the local Verizon store. The tech was able to transfer my phone number, sim card and contacts to the new phone. No charge, to my surprise. Although “refurbished”, the phone is like new inside and out. All features and functions operate perfectly.I use flip phones only, and they have a hard life in my pocket as a Groundskeeper. The slim Kyocera phone this is replacing was six years old, still functioning. I switched as a precaution to assure not loosing valuable contact info should the old one fail, it’s happened to me before. This new “Extreme Duty” phone is far more rugged than the old one, I expect it to last for many years. This was an excellent purchase and smart investment from my perspective, very pleased.

Speaker phone option not working.
Update. My problem in previous post was user error. Works great.
