Learning Italian Before Going to Italy!
It has always been a dream of mine to visit Italy. That’s why I’ve been saving up since the start of this year so I can make that a reality. So when I finally saved up enough money to book myself a trip to Italy, I kept thinking about how I could make the most out of my trip. And this random thought just hit me: What if I try to learn Italian? That’s how I came upon this book. The cover looked really good and there were a lot of freebies too.From the moment I started reading it, I was immediately hooked. The book offers an engaging approach that makes every lesson easy to follow. I know learning a new language could be challenging, but the author behind this book makes learning more manageable. From a beginner’s perspective, I appreciate how this book started with the grammar essentials. I heard Italian grammar could be tough. Upon reading a few pages, I understood how some people may see it like that. The Italian language has a lot of tenses and conjugations. I’m grateful that this book breaks it all down. If you’re a beginner too, you might want to take your time in digesting all these.In addition, I was impressed with this book’s section regarding vocabulary and conversational Italian. I can definitely see how these can help me during my trip to Italy next month. I don’t think I can memorize all the 600+ Italian words before my trip, but I’ll be sure to do my best! But wait, there’s a difference between European and South American Italian? I never really knew that. It’s nice to know these things. Furthermore, the last section which involves interactive content is a great finishing touch to the whole book. The inclusion of short stories and real-life dialogues created a realistic context for the use of the Italian language. Trying to read these short stories was fun. Though it may have taken me a little too long to get through each story, I still find it enjoyable! And thank God the author also included a pronunciation guide. I wouldn’t want to sound stupid during my trip. I want to blend and sound natural as much as possible.Plus, the additional resources and perks were a nice touch. Imagine, you only bought 1 book but you’ll receive like 7 freebies?! Count me in! So far, I have only used the flashcards and worksheets. The audiobooks were pretty good as well. Very good and clear narration. I can’t wait to start the 128-hour video course! I want to wait until my next rest day so I can focus my attention and time on learning Italian. Before I end my review, I would like to address some areas for improvement. I noticed that there were some grammatical errors on the first few pages. It’s no biggie though, I just saw 3 to 5 errors. Other than that, I have no complaints! I just hope there will be no issues like these in future editions.What’s really great about this book is it offers a combination of informational, yet engaging content at the same time. The vibe is like talking to a really smart friend. Anyway, after reading the book and some of the additional resources, I can confidently say that I now have a pretty solid foundation in Italian. Though, personally, I think it would still take me a couple more weeks of practice to be comfortable in speaking, especially with my pronunciation.

The book is great to learn for all levels. I like that it explained the subject of each section and then provided exercises to test your knowledge you just learned. I would highly recommend this book.

Useful and helpful even with few mistakes
Great book to study Italian. I am on page 60 and so far it’s a great way to study, and practice the material hada on. Although yes, there are errors that editors should review and correct – verb essere luí form is even taoight wrong, and quite a few answer keys are wrong. However, the good outweighs the bad!I would recommend this book, I already know Spanish and few other languages and the way they outline the learning of a language here is great, kuddos!Great write in practice with each lesson – that is a way to remember the concepts!

Everything you would wish for and more in a true gem
Very nicely formatted in 3 sections so you get a very good amount of varied content…. think grammar and then of course words and phrases and last but not least you should have short stories too in Italian and naturally an answer key and then extra great your bonuses all in one purchase . Not even uses the phone to access your bonus material. I certainly don’t but have no worry about this neither because you can access the code in your web browser to get your bonuses and thus grazie mille for such a delightfully resource to have. Yes a free audio pronunciation course and really it is a 3 in 1 book and very comfortable to use and enjoy. IT’s a textbook and a workbook and a whole lot of fun and powered up with the inspiration of the book you can really enjoy this book. What are you waiting for? It really is a gem and feels like when you open to a page there is some real Italian magic sprinkled in the pages to accompany you on this adventure. I have to say that I really do recommend this particular book “ITalian Fast for Adult Beginners”. IT starts off and you just feel special and takes your hand and Andiamo . . . . . easy to practice lessons and really loaded nicely and delightfully like it just was made for you.

Helpful but frustrating
I want to say, I think the book is helpful. I am about one third the way through the lessons. But, I am frustrated that the answer key is not 100% accurate. As someone that is committed to learning the language, I would expect a book such as this to have reviewed the answer keys to make sure of the accuracy. I would estimate 10% of the answers are incorrect to the scenario forcing me to go online and double check myself and my understanding. It just makes learning a hard language even harder. I would request the editors of this book, go through and do the quizzes and double check the answers to edit before a new printing.I also think they have questions on the quizzes before they teach the material. For example, they say they will discuss the verb ‘stare’ later, then the first question on the quiz requires the word stanno as the answer. Frustrating.

Wonderful learning tool!
Love that this includes grammar, pronunciations and other important explanations such as detailed explanation of formal and informal pronouns. It also includes lots of tips and common mistakes made in learning Italian. I appreciate that it builds upon and continues to include what has been learned in previous sections. I’m looking forward to getting started on my journey to learn Italian! I’m also grateful for the inclusion of the online bonuses!

I was disappointed at the lack of practice for each concept. There was very little explanation and the practices either repeated items directly from the lesson or was an irregular rule that didn’t further explain. After about 30 pages I was quite confused and gave up. I found language apps online much easier to use and retain information due to practice and repetition.
