Finally…a Python Guide That Doesn’t Make You Fall Asleep On Your Keyboard
A Proven Way to Learn Python using Soccer Examples

Dear Parent or Guardian,

On a beautiful autumn afternoon, five years ago, two young children started their journey into the world of coding through their love of soccer. They were very much alike, these two young coders.

Both were passionate about soccer, both loved technology, and both—like many kids—dreamed of combining their interests to create something amazing.

Recently, these two young coders reunited at a coding competition.

They were still very much alike.

Both were enthusiastic about technology, both had a deep love for soccer. and both, it turned out, had used the same class in school to kickstart their journey into programming.

But there was a difference. One of them was still experimenting with basic coding projects. The other had developed a soccer analytics app and was interning at a tech company focused on sports technology.

What Made The Difference

Have you ever wondered, as I have, what makes this kind of difference in kids’ lives? It isn’t always natural talent or early exposure to technology. It isn’t that one child has more potential or ambition than the other.

The difference lies in what each child knows and how they apply that knowledge.

And that is why I am writing to you and to parents like you about “Learn Python through Soccer” by Bob Mather. For that is the whole purpose of this book: To give its readers the knowledge they need to excel in coding by connecting it to their passion for soccer.

A Book Unlike Any Other

“Learn Python through Soccer” is a unique guide. It’s designed for young learners who want to explore the world of programming through the lens of their favorite sport. Each chapter is carefully crafted by an expert who understands how to make coding fun and relevant for kids.

Knowledge Is Power

Right now, my kid is reading a chapter on creating a soccer game simulation with Python. It combines easy-to-follow instructions with practical examples and fun projects. Every aspect of coding is covered, from simple algorithms and debugging to designing interactive applications.

And there are sections filled with valuable information that’s useful to your child. Chapters on computational thinking, logical reasoning, and project-based learning help them become smarter, more confident coders. Whether they are just starting or looking to enhance their skills, “Learn Python through Soccer” has something for everyone.

An Investment In Your Child’s Future

I cannot promise you that success will be instantly yours if your child reads “Learn Python through Soccer.” But I can guarantee that you will find the book always engaging, always reliable, and always useful.

Sincerely Yours,

Bob Mather

Nice primer on Python, taught on an enjoyable way
“Learn Python Using Soccer: Coding for Kids in Python Using Outrageously Fun Soccer Concepts” is a nice resource for budding coders, especially those who have a passion for soccer. This book cleverly intertwines the basics of Python programming with soccer-themed examples, making it an engaging and relatable guide for those new to Python . The instructions are simple and straightforward, allowing beginners to follow along easily and build their coding skills in a fun, interactive way.The book gives plenty of practice exercises in order for the newbie to hone their newly acquired Python skills. However, the book’s graphics, primarily basic screenshots with hand drawn editing, leave room for improvement. Despite this, the book is a treasure trove of resources for deepening understanding of Python, providing ample materials for Python learners to expand their coding journey beyond the basics. I applaud the book’s approach to teaching coding and its commitment to making learning accessible and enjoyable.

Goal-Oriented Learning: ‘Learn Python through Soccer’ Review
I recently picked up “Learn Python through Soccer” for my 9-year-old son, who is not only an avid football fan but also shows a budding interest in computers. The book’s unique approach of combining the excitement of soccer with the fundamentals of Python programming was an instant hit.The book’s structure is its standout feature, guiding young learners from the basics to more advanced coding skills in a manner that’s both engaging and easy to follow. It’s not every day you find a resource that can capture a child’s imagination in such a way that they’re learning complex concepts without even realizing it. The soccer-themed coding projects are a brilliant touch, making the learning process fun and relevant. My son was particularly thrilled to find real-world soccer applications and games within the book, which kept him engaged and eager to learn more. It’s fascinating to see him apply his love for soccer to understand coding, a skill that’s undoubtedly crucial in today’s digital age. However, it’s worth noting that the book’s graphical aspect is quite basic. While the screenshots are helpful, a more curated graphical presentation could enhance the learning experience. It’s evident that the book is written by real programmers, focusing more on substance than style, which is not necessarily a bad thing but something to keep in mind.Overall, “Learn Python through Soccer” is a fantastic resource for parents looking to introduce their children to coding in a fun and relatable way. It’s especially effective for kids like mine, who are already passionate about soccer. This book has definitely helped in making the daunting world of programming accessible and enjoyable for my son.PS: A fun and unexpected bonus in the book was the mention of André Onana, the footballer. Coincidentally, he’s not only my son’s hero but also shares the same birthday with him! This personal connection added an extra layer of excitement and relatability to the learning experience, making the book even more special for us.

This is really a good concept!
Whether your child is a budding programmer or a soccer enthusiast, “Learn Python using Soccer” is a perfect blend of education and entertainment. It’s a book that promises to boost confidence, enhance problem-solving skills, and ignite a lifelong passion for learning. A must-have for parents seeking to give their children a head start in the digital age. It’s 4 and not 5 stars because the text could be justified, it would be nicer for the reader, but it’s just a detail there.
