Solid workhorse and Thinkpads are always very reliable
Great laptop and a good value for money. I wish the battery life was a little longer so probably the T14 Gen 6 with Lunar Lake processors have a longer battery life. But overall, it is a good laptop. It is very hard to find a good laptop that has 32gb RAM and 1 tb of storage for around $1000. I am coming from T480, which lasted me around 7 years and is still going strong. I would probably say that this would last me around the same number of years or even more.

Excel laptop with hard-to-beat pricetag
A very solid, high performance laptop with excel display. 32GB RAM brings more than adequate processing power and 1TB SSD is exceeding my storage need for a long while. My new ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 did run into a Windows Activation issue but it was quickly fixed after contacting IST customer support. Highly recommended to those who prefer powerful laptop at great price and prompt, friendly services.

I’ve been using the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 for a few weeks now, and it’s clear this machine was built for professionals who need performance, durability, and reliability.Pros:• Excellent Build Quality – Classic ThinkPad design with a sturdy chassis, spill-resistant keyboard, and that iconic red TrackPoint. Feels like it can survive the daily grind of travel and meetings.• Great Keyboard – Typing is a dream. The keys have great travel and feedback. Ideal for long typing sessions.• Powerful Performance – With the latest Intel (or AMD) processor, it handles multitasking, data-heavy spreadsheets, and remote work apps without breaking a sweat.• Plenty of Ports – No need to live the dongle life. Works Great!
I’ve had this for two days now…and am very happy with it. Coming from Windows 10 Pro, 11 Pro does have a learning curve, but after a few hours setting it up and getting settings customized to my liking, I’m using it without any difficulty. The learning will continue of course, but so far so good. Actual initial set up is great. You turn it on and it walks you through set up in an understandable and efficient fashion.Some of the things Windows 11 does differently than Windows 10 make no sense presently…but I’ll work with it, and perhaps in a few months I will find some of the changes to be positive.One thing though, the amazon description is wrong where it states this unit has a backlit keyboard…it does NOT…or at least I can’t find anyway to turn it on. I actually don’t care about that given I type without looking at the keys anyway, but others may want or need that feature.Edit 8/9/2025: This laptop does indeed have a backlit keyboard. Still can’t find the setting to turn it on in settings, but googled it, and you hit the FN and spacebar keys at the same time and it cycles through low light, high light, and no light.

This computer is completely freeze when it try to reboot. I only brought this computer 6 months ago. I cannot get any help from amazon. I will never buy any electronic from Amazon. It better to get it from the store. If I run into problem at least I can bring it back to the store.
