Also works for hot power adapters
These things are fantastic for the price. No, they’re not sturdy. They’re also under $20. My first one has lasted over a year.They work so well I bought a second one for my power adapter. I usually play in bed and it gets so hot it makes me miserable. (I have issues with overheating.)I set it up on a table next to me, and I DARE it to get hot now lmao 😆. I plug that one into a power strip that goes into the wall. They do need an external power source (your laptop or plug into an adapter etc). They will do nothing otherwise.There are separate dials to turn on the fans and the LED lights on this model. They’re located on the top, next to the USB ports. The photo only shows one dial, the other is covered by the cord. There’s a solid “click” to turn on or off.I got the “metal” one the second time. I doubt it’s really metal. At best, it’s metallicized paint. Doesn’t matter, it’s working great. It didn’t cost that much.It’s quiet, I can barely hear it. Its actually cold to the touch when on. The power adapter used to get so hot I could barely touch it (normal but annoying), now it’s barely warm. So much much comfortable to be next to.

Gets the job done. A little bit weaker than expected but still deserving of 5 stars since it fixed the problem where my laptop shut down its self because the fan wasn’t working. Not bad at all for the price.

Works as advertised.
This laptop cooler is quiet enough to not distract you from your tasks. It really does keep my laptop cooler than it would be without it. I do a lot of 3d design work and so keeping my workstation cool is important. It comes with a phone holder that I find useless and I can’t charge my phone and have it in the holder at the same time because the cord would be in the way of the holder. The holder itself would be in the way of both my 3D mice. (I have one on the left and right of my laptop). The height adjustment works well for my working space, it’s sturdy enough for the weight of my laptop and it works as advertised. I’d day it’s a good value.

Quiet, excellent value.
Nice fan. Cools well especially noticeable during heavy video processing. Internal laptop fan barely kicks in. Like others have said the power switch/dial should be on the side vs the back. Its hard to get to. Also the cellphone stand..well it’s useless for me especially if you have a case on your phone.Good news, it’s actually pretty quiet even when all 6 fans are at full speed. Softer than the laptop fan for sure.

NO MORE OVERHEATING! Laptop runs (almost) like new again
Great product, laptop runs fast again :o)Laptop – (LG GRAM 14T90Q 14″ Intel EVO 12th Gen 16GB LPDDR5 1TB NVMe SSD, FHD, WiFi 6E, Thunderbolt 4) – used on a fuzzy blanket, not the best idea, but still … became really hot with GPU/CPU intensive applications, and slow. I had a Targus pad from previous laptop, cost twice the price, purchased at the store with the dog and bullseye 🎯, but with only two fans, it didn’t circulate the air directly into the Laptop vents. Air didn’t line up with Laptop vents so well. This pad has six fans, so air is more spread out over surface of pad, and at so figured at least one of the fans would blow air into the laptop. Sure enough, it did. And, unlike Targus, this variable speed. On the Targus pad, a blade had broken off, so was vibrating due to imbalance. Tried others from 🏷<--- that store, the one with the yellow tag, B.B., with so-so results. That store only has two-week return policy however, had to scramble to return. This pad, (what's in a name?) out-cooled the others from the big-box mall store. Bottom line: Laptop now runs cooler and faster than the previous ones, and can once again put laptop on couch, bed, pillow, and the fuzzies don't stop the air from flowing.Cool 😎!

“Quiet” is relative, but objectively not quiet. Design issue makes turning on/off uncomfortable.
First off, I never expected this device to be “silent” considering there are moving fans. The product box itself says “silent”. That could be misleading to consumers who are too hopeful; the only time the device is silent is when it is off.When I connected the USB cable and turned on this device, I expected little noise. However, what I heard I consider pretty loud.I went back and read other customer reviews about quietness. Basically, if you’re used to hearing fans from a desktop computer or laptop, listening to music, gaming with sound, watching movies, etc., then the noise from the fans gets drowned out. However, my laptop is newer (just released 3-4 months ago) and thinner, so it doesn’t have noisy internal fans. Only way I would not notice the fan noise is for me to be distracted by some other background noise (like eating a bag of chips) while setting the fans to the lowest speed.The design of where the ports and fan on/off dial switches is a bit odd. I understand that they were placed in the back so they wouldn’t get in the way, but at the same time it is annoying to have to reach all the way to the back to turn on, turn off, or adjust fan speed. I reversed orientation so that all that is in the front where I can access easily.As for how well the device does in cooling my laptop, from the lowest through the highest speed if I just leave my laptop on without using it then there is barely any noticeable heat. However, once I use my laptop for typical tasks, it does warm up noticeably after a few hours, but still not as hot as without any cooling fans.I plan to test out another device with a bigger fan which I’ve read tend to be quieter but possibly sacrificing speed of airflow. I’m sure there are probably more pricey & higher end cooling pads, but I don’t want to spend too much out of this price range for a maintenance accessory.

Bought for my new laptop with a 17-inch screen, fits perfect. Makes a bit of noise even on lowest once in awhile but only use computer for personal use – no big deal. Highly recommend to keep your laptop cooled. Had an a different one on my old laptop but died, need to keep it from overheating.
