Necessary for every parent and college student
This is a great book. I recommend reading it before giving it to your college bound child. Perhaps highlighting some key points that will resonate with your child when the reality of dorm life hits.

A must-read for teens stepping into college life
The title is a mouthful—but this book delivers on every promise it makes. What I liked most is how it speaks directly to teenagers without talking down to them. The tone is comforting, encouraging, and refreshingly honest. It doesn’t sugarcoat the challenges, but it also reassures readers that they’re capable of handling them. Whether it’s tips on managing laundry or navigating roommate drama, the advice is practical and easy to follow.Perfect for high school grads, nervous freshmen, or even parents looking for a thoughtful gift. This guide is a gentle nudge toward independence—with a safety net of wisdom underneath.

Everything I want My College-Bound Teen To Know (But They’d Rather Hear From Someone Else)
Thorough ins and outs of the big transitioning to college life from money matters to room décor, dorm life, the emotional highs and lows of being away from home, campus life, fraternities & sororities, college relationships (including a section on sex, consent, and STD’s), online safety, and more. The book is easy to read, full of tips on a variety of college life topics, and has a lot of good sense that sometimes kids (young adults) are more receptive to hearing from someone else other than their parent – at least that’s the case for me. Definitely one to gift to your high school graduate before they trek off to college.

Excellent guide before starting collage
If you have a teen who will be transitioning from high school to college life soon, then Life Skills for College is what they need. It can be scary and one of the biggest steps in life, going from dorm life to navigating complex social situations and even money. It is sometimes easier for teens to read about what to expect and not just hear it from their parents. This book is an easy-to-read guide to help them navigate their journey into college life. There are many different topics included, and a wealth of information.

Every student needs to read this book
Every student who’s headed to college should read this book. I lived in a freshman dorm in college for four years. In the first year, I was a freshman student, and for the next three years, I was a counselor in a freshman dorm. I saw students having problems they would not have experienced if they had read this book before arriving.

Awesome book! Gave great insight into going to a US college which, as someone not from america, was really helpful! I appreciate the moments of humour! Would highly recommend for anyone looking to prepare to go to college in the states!
