Surprised!
I wasn’t sure what to expect. I am pleasantly surprised! This has been a great addition to our homeschool curriculum. Very impressed.

Great workbook but large map needed with it.
As a homeschooling mom in NY I’ve found this workbook very useful. We use it to supplement the NYC curriculum in studies of the east. We will continue with this book but I now have found that little was done in his earlier grade on geography studies of the West. I have also purchased the book for the 1-6 grades to use as we study the colonization of the Americas. My older child was not home schooled and has often said that she was not taught all of this and reads over my sons work to learn for herself. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it needs a large world map or atlas to go with it. It has all the right questions but you can’t get the full comprehension without a political/physical map.

Good learning
Bought as extra work for my 7th grader before school started. She worked in it for days before her first day!

I love my Geography Resource workbook!! And I’m an old person.
One of the things I have always wanted to do was to know and understand different places and cultures. I love old maps and new maps. It is a sense of adventurer to study maps of all sorts. To know where Rivers, Lakes, Seas, Dessert and Mountains are in the world. This workbook made it possible and it is kind of fun at the same time.Young or Old like me. Enjoy!

Excited about this book
We are finishing up states and facts in geo now, this will be a nice book to delve further into that.

Terrible, keep looking
I bought this based on good reviews, but it is terrible. The text is crowded, so it is difficult to read (it makes my head hurt, I can’t imagine how difficult it will be for an 8th grade boy to deal with). The maps are confusing, and the instructions are unnecessarily complicated. It is also not a stand alone book; you will need to have an atlas to answer anything. It just seems like this book will take a lot of effort to use, and it is stunningly boring in its presentation, especially for a 15 dollar workbook. Sorry I bought it.Edit: I upgraded from 2 to 3 stars. Although this book wasn’t great, I wasn’t able to find anything better. It does have some decent basic information, and we were able to use it.

Great book
Great workbook for homeschooling. You get great use of the computer as well looking up the maps and countries. My 13 year old has enjoyed the start of this so hopefully he will continue. It is pretty intense as far as looking up the maps and finding the correct answers. Some of the maps get pretty in depth as far as the tiniest little country!! I do like that he is having to use the computer to look up the answers because it teaches him to pay attention and make sure that he is looking at the right maps.I would recommend this workbook to homeschooling moms!

I am finding this book to be a really good way to review and practice country and city names and well as landforms.
