A great little refurbished console well worth the purchase.
I took a long time to finally buy the latest gen console this time around. I’ve owned the Xbox 360 and the original Xbox One and still play both regularly. I was leaning towards a Series X for the longest time, but then decided I didn’t need all the bells a d whistles that console has over this one.I chose the refurbished model to purchase the console at around its original price point before the price hike occurred earlier this year. Mine was $309 plus tax & free shipping. The console looks and works like new. The controller was nice and minty, and it came with an HDMI and power cable. No manual, but I’ve been gaming since the Atari 2600 days, so setup is easy to me. This one I set up through the Xbox app in less than a minute.I really like the series S and if you’re like me and don’t need 4K output, another blu-ray drive, and the other fairly minor comparison specs, you’ll probably have a lot of fun with it as well. I hooked up an external drive I had lying around and while you can’t play X/S games from it (my only complaint, but it’s easy to buy an expansion unit to solve the problem, I can still store and load up tons of my Xbox One and 360 games.

Don’t waist your time or $
Got this “refurbished” xbox series s. It was anything but refurbished. Pretty sure it was a pallet buy that got a quick wipe down excluding adhesive on the back and top of the console. And the just tossed in a controller “untested” and two cheap cords for the hdmi and power. The first things I noticed was the hdmi is loose and the adhesive on the box. This was not horrible but the controller would not even turn on. swapped out several batteries and yet the thing is totally bricked. can’t even test if the console has flaws but my guess is yes. So my advice to you dear friends is pass on refurbished and get new. at least you get a warranty.
