One book to rule them all…well, maybe that’s a bit much, but still, this is super cool. Get the first four Middle School Mayhem stories in one book!
This is not a boxed set with individual books. This is one big book filled with the first four stories of the series. See the individual story descriptions below!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Move Over Wimpy Kid, there’s a new kid in town. I’m now the coolest aunt for introducing my nephew to Austin Davenport.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “My reluctant reader couldn’t put it down!”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “This should be a movie!”
Down with the Dance- Meet Austin Davenport, whose fabulous luck landed him on this earth only eleven months after his brother, Derek, putting them in the same grade. Unfortunately, the brainy Austin did not get his brother’s athletic gifts or the family butt-chin, meaning their parents love Derek more than Austin, or so it seems. Join Austin on his journey through the tumultuous waters of middle school while trying to save the Halloween Dance so he can take a girl way out of his league, but who doesn’t seem to know it. Can he stay one step ahead of the new principal who has it out for him? Will Austin figure out who the perpetrators are? Will he save the dance in time? Will he wear a diaper on a stakeout?
Santukkah!- Austin Davenport is back! With new characters and a new villain; the only guarantee is more mayhem! After his brother wins a big sports award, Austin is jealous and wants his time to shine in the spotlight. With the school holiday musical just around the corner, Austin wonders if he’s good enough for the lead role but also scared he might fart during a solo. Amplifying the problem is a new kid in town: the golden-voiced, dark-hearted Randy Warblemacher, who will stop at nothing to destroy Austin’s chances at fame and fortune, while attempting to steal his girlfriend in the process.
The Science (Un)Fair-The stakes have never been higher for Austin, whose principal is salivating at the chance to get him expelled. To make matters worse, Randy Warblemacher, notorious cheater and Austin’s chief nemesis, offers Austin a wager on the outcome of the science fair and it’s an offer too good to refuse, but after a communication mix-up, the lovable underdog finds himself going head to head with his own girlfriend. Will the competition be too much for their relationship? Will Austin’s design for a fart-suppression device save the environment and the institution of marriage by reducing toxic fume emissions by 40%? Or will his human catapult design transform long-distance travel, rendering the airline industry obsolete?
Battle of the Bands Austin’s world is forever changed when he learns that nerds have one chance to transform themselves into cool kids. And that’s by starting a band. Complicating matters is Randy Warblemacher, already a popular kid (and Austin’s nemesis), who starts his own band that overshadows Austin’s. And then the battle is on! Join Austin and the gang as they search for and express their badditude. Will the nerds rise to superstardom? Will Austin split his leather pants and forever scar the youth of America?

This is NOT James Patterson
Actually bought this on accident trying to buy the James Patterson books. If you look up “James Patterson middle school books” on here, this book is the third result. Both covers are yellow with legs on them and say “middle school” across them in bold letters. If you’re like me and not paying attention, then note that this is NOT James Patterson. Anyway… We were going to send it back until we read the synopsis on the back, and it sounded good. So we kept it for my son, and he’s actually enjoying it a lot. I hear him laugh from his room from time to time and I know he’s reading the book. So it’s a win! Also something to note, this is NOT four separate books. It’s four books rolled into one big book. Which is fine, but it was quite a shock when I opened my package and saw one bible-sized book.

Appropriate for 6th grade +
Purchased for child entering 5th grade who is a strong reader, but context is more appropriate for reading in another year. Saving it until summer of 2025.

Definitely worth it.
My 10 year old son absolutely enjoyed this series and has asked for the others. Definitely recommend if your kids actually love to read.

Great series!
I’ve read all four books in this series. They are truly hilarious! Although written for younger readers, as an adult, I enjoyed every one of them!

Great books but….
This was a gift for a middle schooler and she loves the stories. Perhaps I should have read the description better but this is one large book as opposed to the four smaller I was expecting. It is awkward to hold while reading.
