I loved this when I first got it. I do still use it and I have contacted the company about issues with it. You are only supposed to have to charge it once a year and I got mine in March and I have had to charge it 3 times. It shuts off in the middle of a run and takes forever to come back on. The company told me I would have to send it in and be without it for 3 months for them to look at it. I bought a new belt to see if that was the problem but it still does the same thing. My friend has one and never has had a problem with it and has had it for almost a year and never has charged it yet. I am pretty sure I just received a bad monitor but I notice someone else that I follow hers just shuts off as well. Make your own decision I am not sure about it.

Read This After Reading Poor Reviews
I have been using my Myzone fitness belt for close to four months now. A majority of the reviews on amazon for this product are good but there are a decent amount of bad ones. As someone who uses my Myzone daily, after reading poor reviews, it is very obvious the reviewers took the product out of the box, strapped it on and went to the gym. For some reason they chose not to read about how to use the device and then when they did not know how to use it, ran to amazon and wrote a poor review. Nearly every complaint I have read on here could be simply addressed if the posters took five minutes and read directions on the companies website. It probably took more effort to write the poor review posts than actually reading about how to use the product they ordered.For those customers who will actually use their belt correctly and read to small amount of reading required to use it, here is my expereince with it.Yes it was a little intimidating at first but after about 7 minutes of reading I was off to the gym.First work out was greatSecond work out I played around and tried to see how high I could get my heart rateThird work out my myzone upped my max heart rate from the previous work out and I could barely get into the green. I emailed myzone and in less that 8 hours they emailed back and adjust my max heart rate lowerSmooth sailing since then….Here and there it will disconnect during a work out or can take a few tries to connect to your phone.All and all it is an amazing product.Highly recommened and I have gotten no less than the best technical support

New manufacturing fails
I have used these HRM for the last 5 years nearly daily. I have replaced them about every 1.5 years for various reasons. I have tried two in the last month and something has changed in the manufacturing. (evidenced my different beeps)They will not maintain connection to my devices as they repeatedly shut off during a workout even mid workout while there is plenty of sweat to maintain electrode connectivity.

Awesome addition to my workout equipment
This thing is excellent and have had no connectivity issues. I also love the zone alerts especially when Im working out. Only reason I gave it a 4 star is because of the band smell. After a few uses, it starts developing a bad smell. We washed it twice and it went away but came back after the first use.

Most accurate & engaging heart rate monitor
I’ve struggled for years with Fitbit and other fitness trackers to accurately measure my heart rate during exercise and this is, by far, the best one. My gym also has a MyZone board, so it’s actually pretty engaging and motivating to see my heart rate and effort in real time. Sometimes the initial connection takes a few minutes, but that’s fine, it always connects and usually connects as soon as my heart rate gets higher at rest. The other issues I’ve heard are related to effort vs. heart rate. I feel like mine is accurate but some of my other gym members have had to adjust their settings to make sure their “90% effort,” as measured by the app, is actually 90% effort in real life.

I Don’t Run Without It!
This device is great! It’s super easy to use and helps me track my runs in ways I never could before! I simply put it on over my chest (it holds its position very well throughout my run, I never need to adjust), and start the workout on the mobile app! It records my heart rate very accurately, because I can personally feel when I am and am not using much energy and it records those moments exactly how I felt them. It’s a great tool to use when you’re trying to try at certain heart rate percentages. The data comes back in easy to visualize bar graphs which I love. It also has a feature where you can add a picture to every workout which I think is pretty cool now that I’ve been using it for a few weeks – It’s nifty to see the sweat I worked up! Also have literally not had to charge it once yet. Battery life lasts for months, it’s incredible. I always bring this with me when I run now!

Accurate
I purchased this when my polar monitor stopped working. Myzone seems much more accurate with the way it tracks calories. It also interfaces with equipment at my gym! Would stick my myzone over polar.

What’s not to like. Does everything you would expect from a heart rate monitor plus more. I like how you can connect and challenge your friends. Keeps me motivated for my workouts. I also like how you can progress through the ranks from iron to bronze and so on by hitting pre determined targets each month.Haven’t had any issues with connectivity in the 3 months I’ve been using it. Also the battery is outstanding. I’ve only charged it once and it’s still on 80% 3 months later.

The item I received was faulty and didn’t work. Have initiated a return. Am assuming it’s a once off and have reordered another. Hope same thing does not happen.

Very happy with my new myzone. Using myzone for years, accurate reading, pushes me harder and makes me accountable with my training sessions. The price on Amazon was the best pricing I could find.
