Great remote, durable in a house of 6!
I’ve had this remote for quite a while now, and it gets heavy use in a household of 6 people. It has long outlasted the remote that came with our Chromecast.It can be a LITTLE battery-hungry at times, eating through the cheap ones pretty fast. We use rechargeable batteries in all our remotes, so that saves quite a bit of money.The input button worked perfectly at first, but no longer does. I am thinking it’s a compatibility issue with our older LG TV, though. I know the button is sending a signal, the light on the TV flashes, so I’m pretty sure it’s not the remote itself. I didn’t feel right taking points off for that, though.

Very disappointing — unstable and unreliable
Since day one, this replacement remote has been nothing but trouble. It takes multiple tries for my Chromecast to even recognize it, and once it finally does, it loses connection again after a couple of days — forcing me to repeat the pairing process over and over.It also keeps shutting down whenever I try to set up the power button to control my Bose soundbar or adjust the volume. My previous remote worked perfectly, but this one is extremely unstable and practically unusable.This is a very bad product. Do not buy.

Be careful of who is selling this product thru Amazon.
Had to order this twice.The first one I had to return because it didn’t work at all.The second one works but the on/off button won’t turn off my tv like the one I got originally with the Google ChromeCast receiver. It does turn off the Google tho.

almost indistinguishable from OEM
Buttons are a little stiffer (not in a bad way) than OEM… dog chewed up my stock one and I got this for a fraction of the price of stock. If you don’t have a remote, you can download a chromecast remote app for your phone to navigate to the pairing area of the UI… then once this is paired you can remove the app!

Voice doesnt work but remote still was good for my google remote that buttons wore out on.
It works as a remote and turns on tv but the mic button while triggering thee mic doesnt seem to work on the remote and does not record voice.
