For some reason, the microphone won’t work with my Switch unless I use an extension cable
EDIT: After around 6 months the microphone failed completely. I contacted PDP customer service and they sent a whole new pair which seems to have no issues. My kids have used the new pair for seveal months with no issues. I’m going to upgrade this review to 4 stars for the killer customer support and since it seems I just got a bad one before.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I suspect something is defective in the headphone jack on these; perhaps it is not machined correctly. The problem is that the mic does not work when used on my Switch. The mic works on other devices, and it even works on the switch if I plug it into an extension cable and then plug that into the Switch, but it won’t work if I just plug it in directly. The headphone functionality appears to work fine on all devices.This is okay for me since I use an extension cable, but it is very peculiar behavior considering it does not seem to work well with the exact device it is targeting.Note that you have to flip the mic down in order to turn it on. This is a really neat feature because it allows you to mute just by moving the mic up.Unfortunately, it’s 3-star at best given the build quality.

Comfy, good price, works with switch and xbox controllers.
Bought several of these for my kids as they love to game and shout across the house at each other…I did have to set up a Teamspeak server in the garage for them to connect to, but now they can talk to each other through their head sets. The ear pieces are comfy and the mics are decent enough. There is a volume roller on the back left ear piece, so always check that first if they say they can’t hear anyone.
