GREAT controller – the back buttons CAN be programmed to multi-button presses
I read lots of reviews that made me think the back buttons could only 1 to 1 map with non-back buttons (so, simulate the XABY keys or an L1 etc.). I used it for 2 weeks thinking this – turns out I should have just tried, as the multi-button presses I needed (Left Trigger hold + d-pad) were mappable – granted, it’s not a macro (so no timing info is saved and you can’t input something like “Hold trigger for 2 seconds, release trigger, press up on d-pad”), nor does it come through as a distinct button event from hardware to laptop (I tested with GNU/Linux jstest to monitor the hardware events), which is something I read the X-Box elite is capable of with a special driver.Being able to bind combo buttons to the back buttons means on a game like Final Fantasy 14 (FF14), which can have some really gnarly controller key presses required (the left side action axis wheel requires holding left trigger and pressing a d-pad direction – very hard to do while using the left joystick to move), can now have all 4 of those bindings set to a single button press. The downsides:- The back buttons are VERY easy to press – if you’re using this for PC gaming, and set it on your lap to type at keyboard, you’re probably going to register a few back button presses as you set it down (or if you shift the controller in your hands) – this wasn’t so good in Diablo 4, where I don’t need those binds at all. Re-binding is slow/tedious, and you can’t save multiple bind “profiles” as far as I can tell- The remote feels great, but is extremely light – a name brand X-Box basic controller feels 2 to 3x heavier – I don’t know if that’s because of a cheaper rumble system or what. For some people, such a light controller may be desired, but I prefer some “heft” to my devices- I used GNU/Linux fftest program to calibrate rumble levels – it only has 2 rumble levels from the 5 listed – I assume the name brand remotes have all 5 – the 2 it does have are the most important though – “strong rumble” (which can still be at various strengths) and sine, which is like a pulsing rumble effectThe upsides:- Joysticks feel great, they have a rigid pattern around them and it’s fun to swivel my thumbs around the edge for the tactile feedback- The controller overall (exterior) feels much better than a cheaper model one I compared it to (a $30 Switch controller that works with PC)- The triggers are not just “press” (maybe this is more of a Switch controller thing) – they have analog ranges of 1 to 32k, although most games treat them as binary presses- The buttons feel good to press – no stickiness – very satisfying to press themOverall – definitely recommend for gaming on GNU/Linux!3 month update: I recently tried an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller (2 so far) – apparently almost all are plagued by face buttons failing to register – that has never been an issue with the PowerA here – for a third of the cost, you’re getting a way more reliable controller – in comparison to the name brand model, the only thing it lacks is bluetooth and a bit of “heft” to it (and the “customizations”, which are not valuable if base functionality is broken).

    Power A fusion pro 3
I gave it 5 stars, because for the price, it deserves it. However after 8-12 months of use and testing other controllers I do have some comments.Number one, it’s a great quality build. Love the 4 back buttons and the interchangeable sticks. Love the robust build. Meant for large (glove size) hands and up. Very solid material used. Honestly it’s in the pro range quality without the price tag. The overall feel beats elite by far. I know there’s a 4th gen now that I can speak on, but when I bought it, it was a great deal compared to scuff and elite.CONS: would prefer Hall effects tech in both the sticks and triggers. In fact for a wired controller the response time in the triggers is delayed by tiny slight fraction or milliseconds. It mostly doesn’t matter but when it does, it does. That’s it. That’s literally my only complaint. Trigger tech. It still wins plenty of matches but since testing Hall effects it’s just slightly sub par. I’m sorry, it’s true. But for the price with the available software to create hair triggers through the app. the build. the material. the feel. all very good stuff. As soon as fusion updates trigger tech I’m going to buy that model because I love this controller. I looked up fusion pro 4 and it has Hall effect sticks but same triggers from what I can tell. Again, you can use the app to create a hair trigger but it’s not technically instant response. Most importantly for the 70-80 bucks I paid for this, totally worth it. Would highly recommend. The accessories and swappable sticks, size of controller and 4 buttons on the back. I can never go back to basic. Would definitely recommend

    Garbage
This controller is absolute garbage. I would rather have a mad catz controller than this pos. I own a fusion pro 2 and love it but the a button stopped responding after thousands of hours of gameplay, so I figured I would try the newest version. This is such a downgrade, no removable faceplate or analog sticks. The whole controller feels cheap and after about a month of light use the left trigger stopped working. Don’t waste 80 dollars on this junk

    Steam deck Users
Hello there!I wanted to give a non biased review on this controller. To give you an easy way to understand: In the words of Todd Howard ” It just works”. I use the official dock with this. D-pad? Feels good, not clicky. Analog sticks? Smooth and easy. The back buttons are clicky. The three stages of the trigger switches are great for fps games. I have noticed ANY delays. I haven’t gotten ANY stick drift. The cord is sturdy in controller. The steam deck identifies the controller as a generic controller. In laymens terms just plug and play. This is the controller you want if you want if the wire isn’t a big deal. The cable is 10ft and works just fine. Last thing, it takes all of 10 seconds to configure the buttons on the back. Quick , easy , painless , no controller software to download, no extra crap. Just controller and games. This is a solid buy. Also I tested this is on apex , the outer worlds , and doom, and others.

Amazing but not super high quality
If you are completely used to an elite series 2 controller you will have no problem getting comfortable with this controller, its not amazing quality do wish the grips felt more rubbery but, i couldnt afford to replace my series 2 so i bought this instead along with the other popular Hall effect controller, but this felt more natural, Do wish they had more customization options on the controller to make it more my own

So Glad This is on the Market–Great Value
Fusion 4: Had the version 2, but the headphones port went out. Version 4 is waayyy lighter, feels just like a basic X box brand controller w/o batteries in it. But it’s cheaper than a basic X box controller AND has the raisable sticks and extra buttons underneath, etc., which I have to say I like as much as the old paddle style—the underside buttons are in the perfect spots. Took less than a couple minutes to plug in, map the buttons and plan. Day one using it. Will update if I have a problem sooner than expected.
