Simple, easy reliable, and convenient.
When you computer doesn’t have enough physical USB ports any more, this hub is the way to go. I like the fact that each port is switchable, so you only use it when you need it. Plug in an external drive, switch that port on the hub on, back up your files, then switch the port off until your next backup. Another plus is that each port has a light next to the switch so that it’s easy to tell which are on and which are off. I’ve bought two of these before and they’re still going strong after 5 to 10 years or so.

For when you have too many random USB devices
11 USB devices were connected to the back of my computer. Now there’s only one USBC cable. It’s powering everything from the typical keyboard and mouse to a USB DAC, air quality monitor, desk fan, and desk lamp. No issues and it reduced the cables coming out of the back of my computer from 14 down to 4. Just used a couple of velcro command strips on the bottom of it to mount it to the bottom of my desk. Did the same thing to mount the power supply to the bottom of my desk.

I’m Not a Real ‘puter Geek, But I Like It
I am not geeky enough to tell you how fast a USB hub allows data transfer. All I can tell you is that I like being able to connect all my external hard drives, printer, and scanner, and to be able to use push-button switches to isolate the ones I am not using at the moment. I have been using this for several months now, and (knock on wood) I have not had any switch failures.The only possible improvement I can think of for this device (for MY purposes, anyway) would be to make the pilot light next to each switch just a TINY bit larger. They are so small that it is sometimes a little difficult to see which ones are on or off; but that is a small detail, and it doesn’t drive me any battier than I was already.

Works but you might need to fiddle with it a bit to get perfection
This is a good hub I am using to power all my drives on Linux. I originally purchased it to power my gaming peripherals on Windows but I could not get all ports working on windows (not sure why yet)… every port works on Linux. There is a slight problem getting it to power on so it can be necessary to jiggle the power cord a bit just until the blue light comes on. Once it is working properly, try not to mess with it unless necessary or you will have to go back to jiggling again!

Too many ports, not enough power.
This hub is pretty bad. It does not have nearly the power capacity to saturate all the ports. Devices will be working, be switched off, and switched back on and will not be detected until I shut something off to get the power up to initialize.I literally feel like I’m on the Apollo 13 mission trying to figure out the order devices need to be powered on for them all the be detected. The hub is plugged into a USB 3.2 port on my tower.EDIT after initial review: So the manufacturer reached out to me after posting my review and gave me some more technical information about the hub. The hub allocates 25W of energy per group of 5 ports. I intended and was using this hub to power multiple external hard drives, a Blu-ray Writer, and Raspberry Pi.This would explain why ports would go dead in groups and not come back to life until I power cycled it.They also offered me a full refund. So based on that, I’m going to up my rating to 5 out of 5 stars just due to their outstanding customer service and addressing me with technical information and not just treating me like some dumb buyer. I would suggest however that they include this power distribution arrangement and limit in their item description. I’ve repurposed the hub to drive all my basic stuff, keyboard (and lighting), mouse mat, wireless mice and chargers, infrared Webcam, and 3-axis controller and moved the power hungry items to my motherboard. It powers all that stuff just fine. So all in all, I’m a satisfied customer and won’t write off their products in the future, but will inquire whether my intended use is within their product’s capabilities.

Finally, a working hub
I had previously been through a few non-powered USB hubs with various connectivity and power supply issues. This was a great solution, and so far has performed above my expectations. The ability to disable a device with a button on the hub itself is particularly useful, especially when you don’t want to un-plug and plug-in peripherals over and over while troubleshooting.Did have to use a usb extender to reach my desk from my computer, but my setup is a bit spaced out. When working with my laptop, the usb is the perfect length.

Nice to have so many additional ports.
This USB port extender is working great. I replaces multiple port extenders that have a lesser number of ports, resulting in less clutter on the desk, which my wife appreciates. Also, easier to control what devices are on at any given time since each port has it’s own on/off switch, very convenient when using multiple external drives. Also, including a USA A and a USB C connecting cable is a great feature since this allowed be to use one of the USB C ports on the back of my computer. I may purchase another one of these so I can utilize the other USB C port on the computer. Recommended.

Works awesome, still have not found any USB item I can’t plug into it and still access it from the computer. Got every slot loaded up and running with zero brown outs and no comms issues. Just make sure that what you are plugging into it does not exceed it’s recommended port max and it’s a peach.
