Avoid cheap clones!
So overall I would not recommend any of the R36Max items are they are basically clones of R36S with cheaper hardware. Mine is broken after a month of usage and thank god for Amazons return policy so I refunded mine. I did more search after this and found that if you want a cheap retro handheld, it should less than $50 bucks, typically get sold on Shopify website as all these are made in China. Amazons price usually is $50 to $80 more but has better refund policies. So I would strongly recommend you to research what games you want to play on and avoid cheap clones like this one.

The device is great on the game boy games and arcade stuff but the psp and n64 and psone games are real glitchy

System crashed
The game selection is what really makes this worth it. We love the game selections. Not happy about the arrow pad not working as it should. The arrow pad skips which can make game play or even selecting anything harder. The analog works great but personally I like to use the arrow pad while I’m searching through the games. New problem, put in a SD card so that I could save my games now the whole system has crashed in this console tried taking out the SD card still doesn’t work. Definitely not happy with this device.

READ before you purchase
I would LOVE to give this a 5 star Review and this first time writing one but there is a TON of games on here and some are doubled that DO NOT LOAD I bought this simply for the old nostalgia pokemon games yes there are others on the market and decided to give this a try unfortunately another reason is the screen issue falling out ? Have not got an answer back from the seller hopefully I will soonPros : has every old school Nintendo DS / gameboy color you can think of and NES & other 80s & 90s games you can think ofCons: ALOT of doubled games not in English and the picture of the screen speaks for it selfs

Great Retro System, Better than competitors
I just got this item for Christmas, and it is quite a lot better than I imagined. It doesn’t play 2000s games as smoothly as the 80s and 90s classics, but there are SO MANY classic games on this device, that it completely justifies the affordable price. It’s like playing a modern day Game Boy on Steroids!The screen is very nice and big for these types of games. The first game I tried was “Alleyway” from Gameboy, and it was just so nostalgic and great. Yes, it does offer saves for your favorite RPG’s like Pokemon, Final Fantasy, and Crono Trigger. If people like NES, SNES, Gameboy Color, or anything from Old School gaming, then this is the perfect device with a great screen for those games. I feel it offers so much more value than the price of $70. The only thing I would recommend is picking a top 25 games to focus on, so you don’t get distracted, because there are some filler type games that might not be your cup of tea. But it offers a great selection and catalogue of amazing games.
DOOM –
Not what I expected.
It powered on, I played a couple lower quality retro games, and it worked okay at first. It started crashing on most of the games I really wanted to play, dreamcasts library started at letter V. There was not as many games as advertised and the micro SD card was jammed into the slot. I would have had to split the case to get it out. Also the battery looked like it was placed sketchy and could come loose.
