Nice and handheld, well worth the money
This was a gift for my nephew who just like his uncle loves handhelds. I personally owned a few dozens of handhelds and am quite familiar with this hobby. I usually put custom firmware on all my handhelds and they work much better, I installed mustard OS on this and it runs great. The screen is a nice and bright. I would buy this for myself if I didn’t already have way too many handhelds.

All around great emulation handheld
This was a game changer for me and emulation.Folding format allows for me to put this in almost any bag without a case. Surprisingly also very comfortable to hold. I find it more comfortable than the the original RG35XX that is a classic GameBoy format.Please replace the stock SD card it comes with and upgrade to a custom operating system like Mustard OS. The original SD card will eventually go bad, and although it takes a bit of research, this came help you to avoid a world of frustration later on.

Definitely a good purchase
This handheld runs incredibly smooth. The ability to add more games is seamless for an experienced and beginner level to roms. Only issue is though it can emulate and run psp games I would not recommend it for that use and it has a lot of hidden emulators already installed. There are no Gameboy games installed however you can port GBA roms and it will automatically emulate them so no extra software downloads necessary besides the games themselves. It has been an amazing run so far with this device.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!Speaker makes scratchy static noises when sound is completely off OUT OF THE BOX. NONE of “/data /data/config /data/config/fceux /data/saves /data/system” are installed on the device and it exits games as soon as you start them. Have a suspicion the company reselling these are messing with the SD cards before sending them out AND should NOT be a seller of Anbernic, ordered straight from Anbernic and will not be buying from your company again. Would give 0 stars if possible. Terrible experience.

*BUYER BEWARE*first off, yes.secondly, be warned on the see through (clear) shells where the clam shell folds there is a square rod in a circle hole & it makes for a very brittle area overtime, with use mine has fallen apart & i have pieced it back with super glue.lastly, very fun handheld & a great weekend project don’t forget to backup your files & check the micro sim quality when it arrives!

I bought this primarily for the nostalgia factor—and in that regard, it delivers. The flip design feels great in the hand, the screen is crisp and colorful, and it handles most retro games well up to the PlayStation era. That said, my experience has been mixed.The first unit I received was defective after just one use. It had power issues and wouldn’t boot properly. Fortunately, the replacement worked fine and has held up so far.Pros:• Solid, nostalgic build—feels like a modern Game Boy Advance SP• Bright IPS screen with good viewing angles• Handles emulation for NES, SNES, GBA, and PS1 decently• Flip design protects the screen and feels compact in the pocketCons:• Interface is not user-friendly—navigating menus and managing games is frustrating• Buttons are stiff and clicky out of the box; not ideal for long play sessions• Some games need manual tweaks to run properly• You’ll likely need to install custom firmware to get the most out of itIf you’re comfortable with a bit of tinkering and can overlook the awkward stock interface, this handheld is a solid choice for retro gaming on the go.
