GAME CONSOLE

GAME CONSOLE

GAME CONSOLE

Why does the device fail to start up, the screen display garbled characters or the operation interface have no response?

This usually indicates that the device is out of power. Just connect the device to a power source and charge it. We recommend fully charging it before use.

How to charge the device?

In order to charge the device, we recommend using a power adapter of at least 5V2A to charge the game console, which requires charging via the DC port.

Why doesn’t the device respond after charging for a long time?

The reasons for the inability to charge might be insufficient voltage or being inserted into the wrong charging port. Also, please note that using the power provided by the computer host to charge the game console may also result in charging failure.

How to save the game progress? Why can’t the game progress be saved?

The keys for saving game progress and saving on our game console are: select+L1R1. However, whether the game supports the save function depends on the game code itself.

Why can’t the game run or load? It doesn’t work.

This problem is caused by a damaged game file. Just download the corresponding game files from the Internet, copy them to the matching simulator folder on the TF card, reinject the card, and you can start playing.

ArkOS with EmulationStation and RetroArch – Worth every penny, but be prepared to curate romlist
It is a well built open source RG36 handheld running ArkOS and EmulationStation on a Rokchip (afaik). I have very large hands and after finding a decent grip it fits the hands well. It handles PSX and PSP quite well, as well as N64 (which is notoriously unstable and slow). The three USB C ports are very useful, am getting a set of usbc headphones for it because the speaker is quite loud for what I expected.I have a messenger bag that I’ve taken to using for all my stuff and it fits well in there, along with my phone, keys, wallet, cigarettes and vape. The battery life is pretty good, a solid 4 hours of playtime which should suffice for most situations, so it’s pretty portable. Gonna grab my battery bank and take it camping and see how well I feel it lasts out in nature. As an avid jrpg player, this is perfect for nostalgic trips down memory lane. Regarding the game variety, however, it suffers the same problem that many goodsets suffer; for several systems it’s many, many duplicates of games. However, this is easily rectifiable as the game partition on the included SD card is in FATx, so you can pop it into a windows computer and don’t need to install any of the linux support software for windows to edit the roms (system partition is some linux filesystem, and I’ve not had the need to install any of the linux support software for mounting linux filesystem images so I don’t know which, proably ex4 or whatever). After a few hours of dealing with the roms, I freed up quite a bit of space and was able to populate the device with some of my own backups, and if you know jrpgs, we’re talking quite a few multi-disc roms. Generating the M3U playlist to consolidate them as whole games is trivial, and I’m hyped to have an excuse to play through the classics again. The OTHER benefit is that the installed doom engine for retroarch is LZDooM, so you can play limit removing wads that take advantage of the advanced features available to ZDooM ports. If you know, you know. I didn’t know what port it was running, so I haven’t put Legacy of Rust on it yet, but afaik ZDooM and LoR don’t play too well together, and I’m unsure if you can edit launch switches to set compatibility mode for the wad to mbf21 or not, and since I don’t usually mess with compatibility modes I’m not sure if you can use the menu to set it or not.I am interested to test PS2 and Xbox emulation on the device, I’m not hopeful, at least not with Xbox, but if PS2 emulation is even halfway decent, there are soooo many good PS2 jrpgs that are going to get slapped on this bad little boi. Seeing as how I lack a disc drive, ripping my own backups of ps2 and xbox games is not possible, so, I get to look for those and download them.Does NOT have wifi, and I’m assuming no BT but I don’t really use BT for much so I’ve had no cause to test it, so if you want to use RetroArch’s ability to scrape for game media (the boxart the screenshots and demo videos) you’ll need to hook up a wifi adapter through the USBC OTG port (it had a dedicated OTG usbc port, so if you have a USBC hub, you can hook up keyboard, mouse, thumbsticks/drive adapters, wifi/bt dongles, more sd cards, get hdmi at least theoretically, haven’t tested HDMI over the OTG USBC, partly because I lack a USBC dongle, partly because I just remembered my microusb hub has an HDMI port and then remembered that HDMI over USBC is a thing).Overall, I am SUPER happy with my purchase, especially since I got another $5 off, bringing the price down to $45. For the price, I don’t think you’re going to find better bang for your buck without significantly more work. The slapdash romlist was not a surprise, a LOT of chinese shovelware, but again, not a surprise. Just be prepared with your own roms, get them ready like you would for any other installation of retroarch, and you’re in for a nice little treat. I can’t wait to go early for a good parking spot to sit and wait for my kid to get out of school now lol, always a good excuse to boot up some random games.

Fun little retro handheld for the price
For under fifty bucks, this little handheld is a lot of fun. The RG36PRO feels solid in the hand, and the matte finish keeps fingerprints away. The screen is surprisingly sharp and bright for a 3.5″ device, and the buttons feel responsive enough for classic games. It comes loaded with a huge library, and the interface makes it easy to scroll through and find what you want. Performance is decent for retro titles—great for older systems, though some of the heavier emulators can lag a bit, which is expected at this price point.Battery life is good, and the size makes it super portable—easy to toss into a bag for travel. Definitely not a premium emulator device, but as a budget-friendly retro console, it’s a solid pick and a great little nostalgia machine.

    Don’t waste your money
Let me first say I do NOT recommend this product. I bought this as a Christmas present as my child asked for a GameBoy and we thought this would be great for the price and so many games. The games were ok, color and sound seemed decent. I did notice when playing the games the buttons it would say to press for certain functions would NOT be the correct button on the device. By the following morning with minimal use, maybe 2-3 hours total, the screen started to go then the sound until the battery started to drain quickly, went from 70% to 50% in 5 minutes. We decided to send the product back for a refund and buy from a different company.

    Great device. Worth buying.
This thing is worth $47. Simple as that. If you’re on the fence about buying one, I’d say go for it. It boots up and runs a pile of games just fine without any issues that I’ve noticed thus far. It’s nice having all the games I played as a kid on one easy to use device. The device is well built for the price and doesn’t seem like it’s made out of extremely cheap materials like many may expect. It’s pretty sturdy. The weight and size is decent, though I kind of wish I bought a bigger device. Not the biggest fan of the joystick buttons either, but that’s just personal preference. They work just fine on every game I’ve tried.Upsides: Easy to use. Enormous variety of games. Games run and save just fine. Battery lasts long enough to never be a problem.Downsides: The LED lights around the two joystick buttons do not turn off, ever. There is no option to turn these lights off and they are annoying. If you are playing this at night, prepare to be blinded by them because they are very bright. Allegedly the only way to turn them off is to take apart the device and actually break stuff. Hundreds of the games available are not properly named either, so searching for them is impossible. This hasn’t been a big deal for me, because I’ve only noticed it on obscure games I don’t care to play anyway, but it might be a problem for someone else. All of the “big name” games though are properly named and easy to find. There are a ton of duplicates also in the games, mostly with different languages. If you search for a specific game, you might have 10 results come up with the same name and you’ll have to try each one to figure out which is in your preferred language.Overall I give this thing a solid 4/5. Would recommend buying.

    Great Great Great game player!
It is even cooler than I thought! Million tons of old games, plays pretty much anything from the FAMICOM to the DS lite, sound is good, graphics are great, and it’s incredibly easy to use with search abilities for system, name, or even just alphabetically. Just learn that you can download the old games you liked from internet. Brings my son to his beautiful childhood memories.

It comes loaded with tons of classic games.
This retro handheld game console is a fun blast from the past. It comes loaded with tons of classic games, so there’s always something new to play. The screen is clear for handheld use, and connecting it to the TV is quick and easy for big-screen gaming. I really like that it includes two wired controllers for instant two player fun, no extra setup needed.
