Good, just wouldn’t take memory card
Wouldnt take my 32 gb san disc memory card for some reason, but was still able to save pokemon progress. I was a little worried bc I opened pokemon in GBA, & I couldn’t see the keyboard or menu selections, so I tried all the buttons and L1/R1 changed the view so I could see the “bottom screen”, but its like a combination you just have to keep clicking them to figure out.. There isn’t a detailed diagram of key commands, some games you just have to button mash to figure out. Select or start for the arcade games to “insert token”. I dont know what the center button with FN under it does, but it has a little blue pinhole light under it thats always on; That I find annoying on devices/appliances, but whatever. The Select+Down DPad save appears to work as it has a tiny pop up; And in the pokemon games at least, the in-game save option works fine and I used that.Hitting the reset button (right next to the power button) doesn’t delete saved games, just resets the console; I have had to use it a few times bc some games will freeze on black screen. No big deal, reset works fine. Does come on at full volume & brightness tho, which is a little jarring when I think I’ve just powered it off.. The lights around the sticks aren’t necessary for me, kind of just use more battery but also whatever, they’re fun. Adds to the arcade feel. Really cool to have a “Gameboy” with analog sticks. Using them in Pokémon is nice. Lots of good stuff on here. Probably 5 years ago or so, I got my dad one of those mini retro pre-loaded Atari emulators; Really cool to have something like this now. I’ve been getting some cell phone games but there are so many extra clicks and ads for the store, before even getting to play the game; And then its like 30 seconds of gameplay that is far too easy and then a minute ad, or one that you can’t even close out of, so this thing is awesome. Simple, fun Galaga-style games and bubble pop/match, plus side scrollers like Batman, MegaMan, Dragon Ball..I’ve been saving favorites and then you can have it choose one at random for you, which is fun. I mostly got it for break at work where we’re not allowed to have our phones. I especially love that its similar to the greenish Gameboy Color I used to have. The screen is beautiful. The buttons/sticks all feel good. Not many games that use the triggers so far but they’re cool. Light weight. Pocket arcade/gameboy. 5* so far. I’d love to have EvoCreo on it, but its a mobile game.. Nice little emulator

A Fantastic And Affordable EDC Handheld
I picked this up to have a compact and inexpensive EDC gaming device for my work/travel satchel. I wanted something highly portable and inexpensive that wouldn’t be the end of the world if it got lost, broken or stolen. I also wanted something with a games library preinstalled. Went with the RG36s because it checked all the boxes and also because they offer it in a really cool looking dark green. For whatever reason, green is a color rarely offered on any hand held console at any price. The RG36s arrived very well boxed and packaged from the seller. This little thing is so freaking great! Suits my needs perfectly. Thousands upon thousands of great retro console and arcade classic games ready to play right out of the box, easy to navigate menus, a very colorful and bright screen, clear sound and surprisingly responsive controls. And tons of Youtube reviews and tutorials available to learn how to get the most out of it. The simplest and easiest way to enjoy this device is to just scroll through the game libraries for each retro console and then hit the Y button to save each selected game to a “Favorites” list. Then you can just go straight to your Favorites library from there. For me personally, the R36s was more than worth it just for Asteroids Deluxe let alone all the other incredible games in my Favorites library. Buy with total confidence, the RG36s is a really cool and super fun to play compact hand held that comes with a massive game library and offers a way better gaming experience than I was expecting at an unbeatable price. If you’re looking at one of these as an affordable gift for a kid or adult that loves video games trust me, they’ll absolutely love it. I hope this review was helpful to you!

The quality is very poor. I wasn’t expecting much, but in the month since getting it, the battery no longer holds charge, and the screen fell of the device. It still works, and we’re too far in the game to want to return for a new one. But we now only play it if we’re plugged into the charger, and had to glue the screen back on.If you are thinking of getting one, it’s not that straight forward to use, but there are YouTube videos to help.The only upside is that is cheap for the games you get.

Not too bad. Missing some of the main games I wanted and some won’t load like super mario. Plenty of old skool games to keep you busy when the kids are at school 😆
