Time-Tested Tools
Our learning materials have helped educate three generations of kids, creating life-long learners, and the legacy continues. Digital content, flash cards, workbooks, readers, toys and games—all are crafted through a child’s eyes, while integrating parent and teacher standards.

Writing by Hand Improves Memory
Writing in workbook pages, as opposed to typing on a computer, can help kids focus and learn. Writing by hand fires up specific areas of a child’s brain, improving the ability to both remember what he or she learns and to think of new ideas.

Longer Retention
Kids and parents who use our flash cards for practice testing are using one of the most effective learning techniques available. A hundred years of research shows practice testing is highly likely to boost retention.

Reading Has Lifelong Benefits
A love of reading has been proven to have far-reaching benefits for children, emotionally and academically. And children who enjoy reading become confident readers and read more often.

Kids Love Technology
School Zone’s digital content supports children’s learning goals by enhancing problem-solving and critical thinking, as well as reinforcing skills through multisensory activities. It also improves language skills, increases motivation to stay on task, and stimulates curiosity and imagination.

Not Just for Fun
When kids play games together, they learn a healthy sense of competition and experience the joy of winning and empathy for losing. Along the way, they learn collaboration, cooperation, and problem-solving. Creative play stimulates imagination and nurtures emotional well-being.

Outstanding Value with Engaging Age-Appropriate Content
This School Zone Big Preschool Workbook has been absolutely invaluable for preparing our daughter for kindergarten while keeping her engaged and excited about learning. The 320 pages provide incredible value and cover all the essential preschool skills from alphabet recognition to basic phonics, numbers, and early writing practice. The comprehensive scope means we don’t need multiple workbooks to address different learning areas. What makes this workbook exceptional is how skillfully it progresses from simple concepts to more advanced skills. The activities start with basic letter recognition and gradually build to phonics, simple words, and early reading concepts. My 4-year-old can work independently on many pages while still being appropriately challenged as her skills develop. The activity variety keeps children engaged with coloring, tracing, matching, and problem-solving exercises that make learning feel like play. The illustrations are colorful and appealing without being distracting, and the layout is clean and uncluttered, helping children focus on the learning objectives. Each page introduces concepts in bite-sized portions perfect for preschooler attention spans. The paper quality is excellent for little hands learning to control pencils and crayons. The pages are thick enough to prevent bleed-through and handle erasing without tearing. The spiral binding allows pages to lay flat for comfortable working, and the book stays open without constant readjustment. The educational progression follows sound early childhood learning principles, building foundational skills systematically. The phonics introduction is particularly well-designed, connecting letters to sounds in ways that support later reading development.Highly recommend for parents preparing children for kindergarten – this delivers comprehensive, engaging education that makes home learning successful and enjoyable.

Perfect Head Start for Kindergarten Learning!
I got the School Zone Big Kindergarten Workbook for my nephew before he started school so he could get a little practice and be ahead of the game, and it’s been fantastic! This book is packed with fun, educational activities that cover everything from early reading and writing to numbers, counting, patterns, and story sequencing. The pages are colorful, engaging, and designed perfectly for young learners. He actually looks forward to doing a few pages every day, which says a lot! I love that it mixes learning with play, keeping his attention without feeling like “homework.”The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the progressive structure helps him build confidence as he moves from simple to slightly more challenging tasks. The quality of the paper and binding is great too, sturdy enough to handle crayons, pencils, and even the occasional eraser mishap.✅ Helpful tip: Tear out a few pages at a time and make short, fun sessions, it keeps kids interested and excited to learn! If you’re looking for a high-quality workbook to prepare your child for kindergarten, this one is absolutely worth it. It’s educational, engaging, and a wonderful confidence booster!

Great for Entering Preschooler
Purchased this book for our 3 year old who is getting ready to start preschool. We wanted her to have a little bit of a head start before she begins preschool in September. This book is big and has kept her busy for hours so far! It is brightly colored and keeps her entertained. A better option than putting her in front of a screen to learn. It is self explanatory for the most part so she can pretty much navigate it herself. I love that it starts out with pen/pencil control from page 1! This is a great asset to add to our educational activities that we are doing with her regularly to prepare her for preschool!

Great Workbook!
There’s a LOT to love about this workbook. I’ve been using it with my 3.5 year old with great results. The book covers (according to the table of contents) pre-writing skills, colors & shapes, alphabet & basic phonics, numbers & early math, and readiness basics. There is a nice diversity of activity types, such as color by letter, maze tracing, coloring pages, shape/letter tracing, connect the dots, hidden letter/number search, etc. There are four pages dedicated to each letter (with review sections between each handful of letters). The number section provides two pages for each letter with LOTS of follow-up pages after a handful of letters (for example, there are 10 pages teaching numbers 1-5 and 12 pages dedicated to reviewing these same numbers). The provides lessons on a variety of skills. Consider these page titles: “Greater Than,” “Less Than,” “Same & Different,” “We Belong Together,” “At the Beach,” “What’s Next,” “Opposites,” “Which Can You Hear/Taste/Touch,” “What Belongs Underwater,” and “Eating Healthy Foods.”Though not possible with all pages, we have laminated many of the pages, which allows my kids to do them over and over again using a dry erase marker. The one con I have found with the book is the printing layout. Each letter has a two-page spread, which on paper looks great, but when you tear the pages out, you’re also tearing out sections from the letter before and after. (For example, the final practice page for the letter D is on a right-hand side. The back of the page is the first page for the letter E.) The same is true of the number pages, too. On a spread it looks great, but it makes it impossible to tear out and practice a single number at a time (without the distraction of another letter).Overall, though, exceptional product!

Lots of included activities
This is an awesome preschool book, it has a number of areas that focus on developmental skills and learning. It is also not overly priced. I have no regret purchasing. I am indeed satisfied

I received this yesterday and I immediately fell in love with it. It’s bright colours holds my 3 year old’s attention for quite some time. Unfortunately she is still not ready for most of the activities but I will be printing off copies of the pages she is able to do instead of her working directly from the book so it lasts longer. The book is categorised and they seem easy but later becomes challenging for those who’ve never had early learning exposure. The price of the book is very well priced and I am overwhelmed at how much variety it contains. It’s the best book I have come across so far. I highly recommend this workbook.

Really impressed by this book. My regret is not getting it sooner. My son was supposed to start nursery but due to the lockdown, that will not be happening. It is important he doesn’t miss valuable education even at 3 years old. This book provides many activities for him. The great thing is, it’s a mixture of different types of activities and different level of difficulty. So you are sure to find an activity and level that best suits your child. I have noticed improvements in my son. His lines are straighter, his concentration is improving and he’s engaging more and more.

I like this colorful cute pictures book! Children would be interested in it. I teach English to the non-native kids, and this book will give me many good ideas to teach.
