From the Publisher

Time-Tested Tools
Our learning materials have helped educate three generations of kids, creating life-long learners, and the legacy continues. Digital content, flash cards, workbooks, readers, toys and games—all are crafted through a child’s eyes, while integrating parent and teacher standards.

Writing by Hand Improves Memory
Writing in workbook pages, as opposed to typing on a computer, can help kids focus and learn. Writing by hand fires up specific areas of a child’s brain, improving the ability to both remember what he or she learns and to think of new ideas.

Longer Retention
Kids and parents who use our flash cards for practice testing are using one of the most effective learning techniques available. A hundred years of research shows practice testing is highly likely to boost retention.

Reading Has Lifelong Benefits
A love of reading has been proven to have far-reaching benefits for children, emotionally and academically. And children who enjoy reading become confident readers and read more often.

Kids Love Technology
School Zone’s digital content supports children’s learning goals by enhancing problem-solving and critical thinking, as well as reinforcing skills through multisensory activities. It also improves language skills, increases motivation to stay on task, and stimulates curiosity and imagination.

Not Just for Fun
When kids play games together, they learn a healthy sense of competition and experience the joy of winning and empathy for losing. Along the way, they learn collaboration, cooperation, and problem-solving. Creative play stimulates imagination and nurtures emotional well-being.

To solve the tasks your kids need to be thinking, thinking and thinking more…
I bought this activity book for my four years old son without knowing what to expect. For those who don’t know what thinking skills mean here is a list of tasks covered:1- does it belong? (in a big picture find objects that does not look right within the context)2- categorize the similar objects in a row, find the odd one3-Align objects with another that has a similarity (toy and a toy box etc)4-Find the two same objects among similar looking objects.5-What comes next(solve the pattern of a series and find what is to follow)6-Find the sequence of the objects (three events are pictured and the task is to find which is the earliest and what comes later)7-Match colors and shapes8-Find an object or person in a picture by looking at a description (Jake has a flower and Matt is the one next to him etc.)9-Basic counting skills10-Coloring small areas according to the color coded letter that is in it.11-Match a solution to a question (multiple solutions and questions are given and you need to match which is the answer for which question)12-Finding the relation between two objectsAs you can see, it is a very comprehensive collection of various activities and some are really tough. Although it says it is for 3-5 years olds. I as an adult need to think for a few moments to be able to answer some of the tasks. It is highly challenging but a wide range of ages can find it interesting and educating. But parents should be helping the kid and be careful not to let him get discouraged upon failing a task. For a full color 64 page well constructed activity book a price tag of $3.5 is a real bargain as well. Recommended…

Great Workbook!
My 5 year enjoys doing his homework in the afternoons before dinner. We received this book on June 27th, and it is July 10th. We are almost done with it! A couple more days and we will be finished. The book is easy enough for my child to understand, but he does need help as he does not know how to read yet. It has become a good afternoon distraction, to avoid TV time while I am cooking dinner. I will be looking for more learning books if anyone has any recommendations!

Amazing practice
This book is SO good for thinking skills, I only helped my daughter read as she does not know how to yet and let her do all the thinking without help, I believe I only had to give her one or two hints. But I LOVE this book! It was not just an average little workbook, it went beyond in the thinking skills. I would and will highly recommend this for any other homeschoolers but if any teachers are looking at this it is a great workbook for your classroom.

Mixed levels
As a retired psychologist I bought this book for my bright 4 year old granddaughter. I found it to be a mixed bag. Some of the activities are just right and some are quite vague and not well written and too difficult. Be prepared to sift through the pages and choose carefully the ones you use.

My 5 year old daughter finished the whole book in a few hours. It wasn’t very challenging for her but she enjoyed it. So if your child is bored of coloring and tracing activities, this book offers other kind of exercises. Bonus, it has a completion certificate in the last page which made my daughter proud.
