Is your teenager happy?
Most teenagers mentally abuse themselves, and it’s not their fault.
Social media has zapped their attention spans and distorted their self-image…
Peer pressure puts the weight of the world on their young shoulders…
And the constant need to excel leaves them in a permanent state of not feeling good enough, for anyone or anything.
The end result?
A whirlwind of emotions that even the most seasoned Buddhist monk would struggle to keep in check. Their own mind feels like hell on earth.
Then they lash out, make poor choices, skip school, get in with the wrong crowd, become obsessed with social media and video games, and generally make poor decisions that aren’t conducive to a life of happiness.
The trouble is, if they don’t learn how to emotionally regulate, they’re blown from happy place to sad place, like a feather in the wind.
But all of this is a choice.
Because with a little help from you, some guidance from this workbook, and a smidge of effort from them, they can reach their full potential.
Author Emily Carter gets it. As a teenager, she struggled with anxiety and self-doubt, feeling stuck on an emotional rollercoaster. So she promised herself that if she ever figured it out, she’d share what she learned with today’s teens so they could enjoy balance, inner strength and mental stability – fast.

Practical guide to emotional resilience for teens
I recently introduced this workbook to my 14-year-old son, aiming to provide him with tools to navigate the often turbulent teenage years. The exercises rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are both straightforward and effective, offering practical strategies to manage emotions and build self-control. The inclusion of mindfulness techniques is a valuable addition, promoting a holistic approach to emotional well-being.The workbook is well-organized, making it accessible for teens to follow and apply the concepts in their daily lives. One aspect I particularly appreciate is how it emphasizes the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, encouraging self-awareness and proactive coping mechanisms. However, I noticed that some sections could benefit from more in-depth explanations to cater to teens who may be new to these concepts. Additionally, incorporating more interactive elements or real-life scenarios could enhance engagement.Overall, this workbook serves as a valuable resource for teenagers seeking to develop emotional resilience and self-regulation skills. It’s a commendable tool that supports personal growth during a pivotal stage of life.

Delivers Practical Tools
I picked this up despite not having any teenagers to look after, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how applicable the lessons are for adults as well as young folks. The exercises are straightforward and easy to follow — nothing daunting or overly complicated. The content is grounded, offering practical advice for navigating tough emotions and building better habits, which feels relevant in just about any stage of life. What stood out most were the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) exercises and self-talk strategies. Those sections in particular seem powerful for helping anybody, not just teenagers, reframe their mindset and move through challenges. While it’s clear this workbook is designed with a younger audience in mind (a few of the examples lean that way), the overall themes and tools could benefit anyone looking to strengthen their emotional resilience

Great Techniques and Life Skills for Children/Teens and Adults!
I love this book!I wish I was taught all of the techniques and life skills in this book when I was a child. My life would have been very different growing up and as a young adult.I went to therapy in my early 20s AFTER a whole bunch of bad things happened to me, but I strongly believe that if I had been taught all of the things in this book when I was a child, I would have been able to steer clear and prevent about 95% of all the bad things that I went through.I highly recommend this book for teens and adults to start teaching their small children the priceless techniques and life skills this book teaches!I loved this book so much that after purchasing and reading the e-book version I also went ahead and purchased the paperback so I can share it with my loved ones!

I purchased this book for my son who has ADD. I thought it might help him focus on negative thinking. It’s a very thought out workbook, with areas for understanding thoughts and behaviors as well as challenging negative thinking, mindfulness, building positive self talk, problem solving and understanding behavioral patterns. Very well designed!
