Sennheiser is the brand that you’ve been looking for but never found.
This is the brand that you have been looking for. Between the beats and the bose and the JBL and the…..whatever else, THIS is the brand you have been looking for. Between the quality of the materials used for the headphones, the incredible EQ straight out of the box, high-fidelity sound, and amazing battery life, Sennheiser is the under-the-radar audio brand you want. They’re not flashy, they don’t advertise heavily like other brands, but what they do do (hehe) is create incredibly well made and awesome sounding headphones. Sennheiser is well known by audiophiles who want to enjoy their music the way it was intended by the artist. They fit great, they are noise cancelling and even feature a pass-thru mode, and have large drivers that deliver incredible sound quality. In my experience, the IEMs and over-the-ear headphones have been nothing but amazing. The price is NOT indicative of the quality of the headphones; I mean that by saying you are not overpaying for anything. Sennheiser overbuilt these headphones to be competitive with the (redacted fruit company’s) over-the-ear headphones and they are 300 bucks cheaper. They look sleek, are easy to control, and work great with any kind of smartphone or literally anything that can attach itself to bluetooth. Pairing is not an issue and are able to be transported with ease.

A casual review
Here’s my opinion and rating after using these non stop for about a year nowAudio quality – 5/5The audio quality on these headphones are phenomenal. Straight out of the box they sounded excellent, and provide a great neutral-feeling sound signature without boosting the lows or highs too much.Comfort – 5/5The headphones fit very nicely and have rarely caused strain on my ears. The headband and foam around the ears are very soft. I have worn these for 5-6 hours at a time and have not noticed discomfortBuild – 5/5I’ve seen some people complaining about the build quality for the price, but I personally don’t see their reasoning at all. The headset is made of lightweight plastic, but it doesn’t take away from the premium feel and look. I love the fabric on top of the headband, and the version I have of these with the black-copper color scheme looks very fancy.Noise cancellation and transparency mode – 4/5The ANC is nothing notable, but it is far from bad. I have brought it on planes and had no issue with the noise levels. Transparency mode also works great.Battery life and charging – 5/5The battery life on this is insane. I can go about 2 weeks with constant use before I need to charge. They advertise something like 60 hours of battery life, and even while using ANC the headset delivers.Connectivity – 4.5/5The reason I rated this a 4 is because I have had some issues with my headset connecting to my devices. Every so often my headset audio will cut out every couple of minutes for about a second. It’s not a big issue, as it eventually remedies itself or I can just power my headset on and off to stop it, but it was worth noting. Other than that, connection is pretty smooth. I do like how my headset switches automatically between my phone and computer to whatever device is playing audio at the time.Extra features – 5/5The app feels well-integrated with the headset, and it provides many options to customize your listening experience. I changed the touch control inputs on the side of the headset to feel more intuitive, as well as turning off some features I personally found annoying like the on-ear detection. The EQ also allows me to create my own sound signatures, and as a result I usually have the lows boosted.Other notable things -I haven’t had many issues with the touch controls, and although I probably would prefer buttons, this works just fine. The headset does have quite a large footprint when packing, so I wouldn’t recommend them for travel unless you have space.Putting it around my neck feels a bit awkward compared to previous headsets I’ve owned, but maybe thats just me.These work great for gaming, low latencyI’m just a regular user, not an audiophile. I mainly use these for listening to music and gamingOverall review – 5/5 (If you have the money for it)You’ll have to sell your left kidney for these, but it’s worth it for people who use headphones every day, all the time. There isn’t a part of this headset that is not good, and it excels at being a comfortable pair of premium headphones.

Great sound, meh ANC. At sub 250usd, the price is fair.
Sound: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗Comfort: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑ANC: 🌕🌕🌗🌑🌑Transparency: 🌕🌗🌑🌑🌑The above ratings are from a longtime AirPods Max user. Unfortunately I can’t use my Max anymore for various design flaw reasons. I needed something quick and something not quite as expensive. For >$250 these are a steal. If you’ve never used anything better these will be MOSTLY 5 star across the board for you.The sound is crisp, but not too crisp. I have tinnitus and sensitive ears when it comes to treble. I’ve used mid end IEMs that are close to true sound and I can tell you that true neutral is too much treble for me. These tilt slightly towards the bass end of things without muddling the highs. Even in bass boost the highs are still quite good. These are punchy and great for consumer level ears. However, if you listen to complex songs with 2+ leading instruments working in tandem things tend to get confusing. These connect flawlessly. I connected them to my Linux PC, remembered the app, put them in pairing mode, and connected them to my phone. To my surprise, when I tapped them by accident my PC started playing with them still being connected to my phone. As an android user, I never had this convenience with my AirPods Max and its quite nice. I can muss through the equalizer settings while music on my PC is playing. After years of wearing the dumbbells that are the Max on my head, I can’t feel these at all. They are extremely comfortable and crazy light, but like the Max my ears get a little hot. Though I run a little hot anyway, so they may not be bad for you. The band is by no means cushy, but the firmness sits just right without feeling like you have a bar across your head. The padding on the cans hug your ears nicely, but I have very average sized ears. I do have a biglong melon for a head, however, and they still fit very nice.Do not buy these for ANC. I needed transparency mode, it was one of the things I need the most for my ADHD. My girlfriend can still get my attention when I have transparency mode on and I run my headphones in that mode 100% of the time. Transparency is muddy and garbled. I tested it with Bob Ross on volume 9 in the background. In ANC mode, you can still hear him mumbling like someone is in the other room talking about how to fix a light switch.Transparency is almost the same. I turn it on and can just barely articulate what he’s saying. It sounds like the aforementioned people moved slightly closer to the open door in the next room, and you can catch words like “switch” and “light”.To sum it up: Great bluetooth headphones for sake of headphones. For the sake of accessibility, they’re nothing to shake a stick it. Two stars for features, five stars for consumer audio quality.

I love it. Incredible sound and solid build quality. Battery life is outstanding. The only the issue I am facing is little bit stuttering noise due to unstable connections when connected to my laptop. With my iphone, I don’t face this issue. Overall a very satisfied with my purchase. You might feel little bit heat buildup around you ear since the surface contact of the headphone pads to the ears is little bit wide but very comfortable to wear it as the padding is excellent. So for indoor usage its fine; wouldn’t recommend for workouts.

The product feels premium and well made, despite large parts made from plastic, which I could see is for weight cutting purposes. The top of headband is made from fabrics, which is nice to look at. The ear cushions are quite big but somehow they still make my ears feel a bit hot. The sound quality is exceptional when connected with usb cable using the built in DAC of the headphones, but is pushed even further when using my dongle DAC connected with analog cables. With that said, Bluetooth codecs like AAC and aptx adaptive are both supported, which is nice to have, the volume when using with my iPhone seems to be a bit too small due to some unknown reason but it is a non issue when I use it with my android phone which supports aptx adaptive. And the battery really lasts like forever, and charging speed is also satisfying as I used my power delivery charger and filled it from 40 percent to full in like half an hour. It seems my choice with this is correct by not choosing the xm5 and QC ultra because it’s much more musical and has a standard frequency response, which is rare in a ANC headphone.
