This smart light switch has a glass modern clean look.This is a Tuya compatible device. You’ll need to download the Smart Life or Tuya app for all the smart features. I’ve already own a dozen Tuya devices and have those apps installed. I do have some issues with Tuya app and light switches. They tend to become disconnected and unable, losing the ability to use Alexa or Google home to turn on/off and automate your lights.Installation isn’t too difficult. But there wiring might be a little confusing. It has no ground, but has L1, L, and N. Build quality is decent. But the price is good for a smart light switch with these features.

Nice switch, very attractive and works well
This is a nice 3 way switch. It is a nice installation process. Instead of pigtail type wiring it has small screws which reduces the amount of wire in the box which tends to be an issue sometimes. The glass front is very attractive. It uses a very well known smart app which is great, it reduces the number of apps needed to run my smart home devices. For $17 it’s an excellent value.I should point out that this will not fit in a 2 or more gang box. It must be a single switch.Overall, I can comfortably recommend this switch. It works well, is easy to install, uses a well known smart app and looks excellent.

I have been looking for a wifi-enabled to tie into my Home assistant system for awhile, but the ones that I’ve found that are reported to have the best compatibility are usually manufactured in another country which ultimately leads to different voltage/amperage configurations that are likely incompatible with the power delivered into the homes in the US.This switch doesn’t actually list ANY compatibility with the aforementioned Home Automation software, but DOES list that it is fully compatible with Tuya (an ecosystem with very solid integration with the software). I figured I would give it a try.As an electrician, I’ve installed a lot of crazy switches and receptacles over the years–high end, custom, etc–yet none of them were quite like this switch. That’s not a bad thing but it was the first time in awhile that I had to consult a manual to install a switch.The build materials are great, and the finish on this guy look very high end. When installed, the front of the switch protrudes from the wall approximately ⅛ of an inch. The face of the switch has a sexy glass finish and the protruding edge between this face and the wall is wrapped with a chrome-like shiny finish. The “guts” that hold all of this together are entirely plastic but you would never have guessed that by looking at it. Easily the fanciest switch in my entire house. Because of the premium materials, it really is in another class from your standard light switch from home Depot, and even though they do have different color combinations such as white black and a couple other ones, it’s still just not even close. So until I swap out the rest of my switches (oh, it’s coming…) I got this super sleek freak out a mismatched faceplate.Hooking up to power was a breeze. Instead of the normal wire nuts and screw terminals that are behind most switches, this one opted for a terminal block with a quick screw connections which make the thing even breezier. After installing this I kind of wish the rest of these switches I have to install in homes or this easy. It also prevents you from having a massive unorganized wire mess when you’re trying to shove the outlet back into the wall and tighten it all up because they’re laid out nice and orderly as you screw them to the terminal block.The manual recommends downloading some crazy hard to pronounce app to initially pair your switches with the Wi-Fi, but I found that downloading the Tuya app directly allowed for a hassle-free and quick initialization of the device on my network. After paired with the app and signed into Wi-Fi I loaded up my home automation dashboard and it popped up immediately as a possible new integration and it’s been working great ever since.For you nerds: It is fully integrated in HA and by that I mean it’s available to interact with with a wide variety of options for programming it into automations or blueprints or toggle switches on a floor plan map. It works great.

I ordered the Smart Switch with Aluminum Frame and Tempered Glass Panel to review and to add to my growing smart home network. Since I started using Tuya, I’ve been slowly adding more compatible devices, and this switch has quickly become one of my favorites.The finish is excellent—it’s one of the nicest-looking smart switches I own. The glass panel feels modern, and the capacitive touch design gives it a sleek, high-end feel compared to traditional rocker switches. Setup was quick, and programming through the Tuya app was straightforward. Remote control, scheduling, and integration with Alexa and Google Home all worked without any issues.A small but very useful feature is the night-light ring in the center of the switch.
