I don’t understand the point of all the contents
Disclaimer: vine review of an item I requested free*The bag itself is really nice, lots of pockets and straps. Bigger and bulkier than you’d want to carry on a hike.The contents are weird. It has like 3 whistles, many things intended to be used as a contrived emergency knife, but then also a multi tool with an actual knife. Some things like the spork+knife are just straight up camping gear. The emergency fishing line expects you to get lost out in the bush, but if I’m that far from civilization, I’m not going to be carrying most of the stuff in here for weight.Worst compass everThe first aid kit has tons of bandaids, enough w tips for an army of teenage girls to do their makeup, and enough safety pins to do a fitting for one of their prom dresses. And the worst pair of plastic tweezers I hope you never have to use.Emergency shelter, rain poncho, and blanket are actually useful depending on climate.This is more of a stow in your car type deal than a bring with you on hikes thing.You do get a lot for your money, but the question is, how much of the stuff you get do you actually want?

Good kit with plenty of items
This is a good start to a survival and first aid kit as it contains many necessities in one package. While the quality of the items is not the same as top-tier survival gear, it is definitely built well enough to stand up to the elements and use to gain experience. These items are sized right and make for great carryability in the small pack. I like that there is a shovel that can pull double duty, a knife (that needs some attention to be sharp and usable), some first aid gear to use in emergency cases, and basic first aid, as well as a decent pack to store it in.
