Great Popcorn Read
A great escapist read with the twists I’ve come to except from this author. A suspension of belief is needed for chunks of the story, but it’s sheer indulgent reading. Characters to cheer for, characters to boo, and a plot that corkscrews rewardingly at the end. As always, a great Modglin read. I’m ready for more!

Great story easy to read with some hesitation : Spoilers
This was a great story, easy to read and engaging. I didn’t really think there were a lot of twists…once they introduce Ms Sheridan on the second chapter it was I knew she was behind it. The ending was bittersweet. While I was happy for Katy, I really wanted a guarantee that “island owners” were going to jail. I kept thinking that when she went back to the island she would be tracked again. I also thought the agreement she made that the $100,000 would “by her silence” was a bit weak. Because she ended up just going after them (the island owners) anyway, and they did nothing to retaliate. But overall, I loved the story. It was easy to read, engaging and great characters. Definitely worth the read.

Speechless!
This gave me ALL of the emotions! I love a book with good twists and this did not disappoint. Some parts were predictable but all in all it was enough suspense and loops to keep me reading every chance I could get. 5 ⭐️

A bit flat for me
It’s not a bad read, but it didn’t leave much of an impact. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, but I’m still interested in exploring more of Kiersten Modglin’s work.Having enjoyed a previous book by Kiersten Modglin, I decided to pick up The Missing. While I didn’t go into it with specific expectations, I found the experience to be a bit mixed. The story started off strong and grabbed my attention right away, but the pacing faltered significantly in the middle, making it harder to stay engaged. Although the plot unfolded in a straightforward manner, it lacked standout twists or memorable moments that are often a hallmark of a good thriller. The characters, while numerous, didn’t feel particularly relatable or compelling, and I didn’t find myself attached to any one of them. That said, the relationships between the characters felt authentic, which added some grounding to the narrative.Modglin’s writing style was straightforward and easy to follow, which I appreciated, but there weren’t any quotes or passages that really stood out. The tone matched the story, but it didn’t evoke much emotion or leave a lasting impression.Compared to The Arrangement, which I enjoyed much more, The Missing fell short. While the premise had potential, the middle of the book felt flat, and the story as a whole lacked the intrigue I was hoping for.

Intense action
What a terrific book! It kept me engaged from the first page to the last! It’s an adventure in survival, with a sinister twist. If you love a great beach read, this is it.The premise features five tourists who are invited to take a boat ride in a yacht. Once on board, the boat heads out, and suddenly has engine trouble. The 5 passengers are set upon a beautiful, secluded island, but to their horror, the yacht speeds away, leaving them stranded. What unfolds is a sinister plan, akin to a game show, where only 1 will win, but in this case, 1 will survive.Don’t miss this fabulous book!!

3.5 STARS…Psychotic Survivor
What would happen if the tv show “Survivor” was run by psychopaths with too much money? This is a quick and entertaining book that you can’t think too hard about. Just go along for the ride! There are POV from two women, one for the majority of the book, and one for a few chapters. I didn’t see how their stories were related until the end, making the story darker and more twisted than I originally thought.

wow!
This book grabbed me in the first chapter, and didn’t let go!The characters were.such a mixed bag of different personalities. And you could relate to each one. Heart breaking, but the heroes win in the end.The people we put out in public vs. Who we really are.I would suggest this book to evetyone.

Island H*ll
Five strangers were offered a free boat ride with free food and drink from Key West, Florida, and ended up purposely stranded on an island far from shore. Then they find the first note:Kill your friends, save yourself. Only one of you will leave alive.I enjoyed this psychological thriller about five strangers thrown into a life and death situation that none of them expected to live through. Who is behind this deadly game and will any of them live through it?I enjoyed the characters, even the ones that weren’t so likeable, because the author described them well. There were a couple of particularly good twists in this story that I didn’t expect and appreciated more because of that.I highly recommend this book to those readers who like psychological thrillers or just want a quick-reading suspense thriller.

Loved this book. Fast paced, slightly predictable but twists and turns nonetheless. This is my first time reading this author, I look forward to more!!!!!!

I made it to page 15. Feels like the author is a teenager. Every thing, the story line, the charcters, the communication, everything feels very naiv. I will give the book to my 16 year old daughter.

The storyline is so awesome, it’s pretty difficult to put down the book without completing it. There are quite a number of twists and takes time to get through it. All in all very enjoyable.
