Fun, Educational, and Perfect for Sharing with My Daughter
I’ve always been a huge Cat in the Hat fan, so I was excited to add There’s No Place Like Space! to our bookshelf and share it with my daughter. It’s such a fun way to introduce kids to the solar system, blending Dr. Seuss’s playful rhymes with real educational facts. The illustrations are colorful and engaging, holding my daughter’s attention from start to finish. I love how the story keeps things light and silly while still teaching about planets, stars, and space in a way young kids can understand. The hardcover feels sturdy and well-made, so I know it will hold up to many bedtime readings. For me, it’s special to enjoy something I loved as a kid while watching my daughter discover it for the first time.If you’re looking for a book that’s both entertaining and educational, this one’s a great choice, especially for little space explorers in the making.

A must-have for any little space lover
I am constantly trying to find ways to feed my 5 year old’s love of space. He knows all the planets, many different aspects about each planet, their sizes, their moons, the notable stars, the black hole, comets, meteors, the ISS, you name it. I am amazed at his knowledge level and especially the fact that I didn’t teach him any of it. The educational space videos on the Angry Birds space app deserve the credit for kicking off his knowledge and interest in space. I only came in later to supplement with reading materials and tangible visuals. Being an educator I understand the importance of taking advantage of children’s love for learning. He is so welcoming of new scientific information that I would be amiss not to find various ways to entertain his brain with space facts.I purchased the National Geographic Kids First Big Book of Space (which is a book I wish I could give 10 stars – and I have a review on that page) and this Dr. Seuss book for Christmas. We have a deep love for Dr. Seuss in our home, and it just so happens that he and my son turned out to share the same birthday (random and useless fact :-). But I said that to say that my son also has a love for Dr. Seuss and feels like Dr. Seuss (whom he calls his friend) wrote all of his books just for him, LOL. The National Geographic book has vivid imagery, with the facts presented in more of an educational format with chapters, introductions, etc. so it is great for serious learning. This book (while not written by Seuss) follows in true Dr. Seuss fashion, with humor, fun words and phrases, creative rhymes, and laughable images. I like the mnemonics used to reinforce learning, though I was concerned about this because my son already knows the content and I did not want him to get confused. So far this has not been a problem. Even though the information is familiar, the Seuss-speak draws my son to this book day after day. It is one of his chosen books for bedtime reading. This book is creative, educational, accurate, and entertaining. Definitely a must-have for any little space lover.

SHARE My love of the solar system
This book was given to a three-year old girl. I wanted to expand her mind to think and wonder what up pass the cloud. Nowadays kids go inside most is not allowed out at night for star grazing are anything else because family is grilling up for the next day. Nobody think about the science of wonder and what’s it could do for a child mind to think of being aww scientist or something to do with the rocks that fall to earth. How bout Rocket to the moon or our Satellites obiting in space or spaceship. Having a questing mind be excited when you hear of sites of blackholes found spaceship or rockets gone to space. Aww wow!!!!!!!! the wonder of it all.

Great book for a space loving kid
This book has a lot of information about space and though its not an original Dr.S, it is written in the true DR.S fashion. The story follows a rhyming rythem that once learned; makes the information more memorable and fun. However, like most Dr.S books, if you haven’t read it before (aloud) then expect to stumble over the rymes the first time through. The story follows the familiar characters from the other Cat in the Hat books on an adventure into outerspace. Along the way, the cat in hat uses fun facts and characteristics of the different planets to help your child to better understand our solar system, its planets, and their order. The illustrations are colorful and creative, as you would expect from a Dr.S book, and they are drawn in the classic Dr.S style. I would recommend this book for a child who enjoys space and reading. This book is a fun read that seems most appropriate for 3-4year olds or older.
