Excellent hi-res thermal camera
Very nice thermal camera. Clear image, works better than one 3 times the price we use at work. Seems to be relatively accurate from my testing, tho I’m sure it’s not lab-grade levels of precision.

Great tool, a bit finicky
Great little thermal. The image gets a bit washed out when looking at a room etc, with almost like a haze around the outer rim. This can be reset by pointing at something black for a full minute using the calibration feature.Changing the temp is a bit odd and in a strange place in the app.When setting the temperature from C to F, if you then adjust the value in F, it takes the value as C, and so 100f will show as 212 F. If they fixed this and the slow degradation / of the image (hazy edges) I would give 5 stars. Otherwise works well and is quite sensitive. Great for finding leaks in house projects etc. and analyzing electronics / mechanical heat signatures.It comes with a dongle so if you have a case that would normally block the USB C port on the camera from reaching this allows you to still connect and have some extra mobility too.

Hard to beat for the price
A thermal camera is one of those things I’ve always thought would be nice to have, but never needed one enough to buy one. These cameras are at a price point that helps them make more sense, and they work incredibly well. I did have to buy a little USB-C adapter so that I wouldn’t have to remove my phone’s case every time I used it, but they’re cheap and it works fine without a case on the phone, too. It’s definitely accurate enough for chasing down leaks and finding hotspots. Actually, testing it against regular thermometers, it’s pretty much been on the nose. It seems well-built and the case keeps it protected when it’s not in use. The visual camera overlay is a super-nice feature as well. I wouldn’t hesitate buying it again.

Excellent thermal camera for the money. A little bit of heat creep from itself, but still decent.
I ended up buying this after watching TE Videos on YouTube and he used it in a few cases to solve some problems and that sold me…if a real mechanic is using it in a professional environment, it must be decent.I would say, for the money, it’s a decent deal. But it’s not without its quirks.The #1 reason I bought this one over ALL the others is primarily because it does not have an integrated battery. It simply uses power from the device it’s plugged into, which is perfect. I wanted something that can sit on a shelf for 3 months unused and be ready to go right away…no charging needed, no bulging battery after a few years, etc.As soon as I got it, I was like a little kid, using it to look at everything I possibly could…a beehive up in a tree, my dogs peeing on the grass at night, figuring out gaps in insulation in my celling, giving myself a sense of relief that there’s likely no water leak in the walls where I thought there might be one, etc.The only criticism I think I can make for this is that it seems to be sensitive to its own heat generation. The longer it’s used and the more it heats up, you can start to see some heat contamination to the image. For mine, it starts to creep in from the corner…then after calibrating it, now it creeps in as a line across the middle. It’s not super noticeable, and the device is still completely usable, but it can be a bit distracting.

Ich korrigiere heute meine Bewertung vom September!Ich hatte damals die TC001plus zurückgegeben.Jetzt im November hat sich der Service von Topdon bei mir gemeldet und hat sich für meine Erfahrungen entschuldigt.Das ist jetzt das erste mal, dass sich eine Serviceabteilung eines Herstellers von sich aus meldet, das finde ich beachtenswert, das ist einzigartig, kurz gesagt Top Support besser geht es nicht.Der Topdonservice hat mir dann zu überaus zuvorkommenden Konditionen eine TC003 angeboten.Die TC003 habe ich jetzt seit 2 Tagen und habe sie ausgiebig getestet.Die TC003 bietet alles was man für den Privaten Bereich so brauchen kann, und noch einiges mehr.Ich kann die Warmwasserleitungen in der Wand sauber erkennen, die Rohre der Fußbodenheizung werden gut dargestellt und sind je nach Flächenleistung klar erkennbar. Die Temperaturanzeige im Bereich von 0..100°C ist sehr genau +-1C°, was für eine Strahlungsmessung schon sehr genau ist. Das Thermografiebild ist sehr flüssig,die Temperaturanzeige ist in ca. 5 sek stabil auf dem korrekten Wert.————————————–Bewertung vom September 2024Ich hatte bisher ein CAT S62 PRO Mit Wärmebildkamera.Die Auflösung vom Cat Handy war geringer angegeben, trotzdem wirkt es Schärfer. Vor allem wirkt das Wärmebild vom CAT kontrastreicher wie von dieser Kamera. Kältebrücken sind fast nicht erkennbar. Warme stellen sind deutlich zu sehen. Für den Preis von 256 € uninteressant.Bis ich einen akzeptabelen Ersatz gefunden habe benutze ich mein altes CAT als Wärmebildkamera weiter.
