Great mount for Apple TV on back of TV
In the garage I have a TV on a wall mount and AppleTV as the sole source for content. I wanted to mount the AppleTV on the back of the TV for the minimalist option. I found the TotalMount when searching Amazon and it looked like it would fit the bill. I was concerned about which generation of AppleTV would fit as many of the mounts you will find on Amazon only work for the older mount. What was not obviously, but welcome surprise, is the TotalMount is completely compatible with both generations as it includes an “insert” that adapts the smaller newest generation to the mount.Good:1. Mount works with all generations of AppleTV 4K.2. Mount includes a large piece of high quality double sided tape already cut to fit and installed. Pro tip: use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm up both the tape and surface for the best possible adhesion.3. Extremely easy and fast installation, no instructions required.Bad:1. One of the more expensive AppleTV mounting options, but I think the quality, construction, and compatibility justify the price.2. The mount does not hold the AppleTV in all directions. Basically only one supported orientation which is vertical wall mount with cords either pointing up or down. Mounting the AppleTV horizontally on the ceiling or even horizontally on a vertical wall will not work. You could experiment with taping the AppleTV into the unit to hold it in these other orientations.

Great Mount, Lackluster Tape
I recently purchased the TotalMount Apple TV Mount, aiming to neatly tuck my Apple TV behind my LCD screen. The mount itself is well-designed, offering a sleek and secure way to keep the Apple TV out of sight and protected. It does exactly what you’d want a mount to do: keeps your device safely mounted and conveniently accessible.However, there’s a significant hiccup in the installation process—the adhesive tape provided for mounting. Described as a strong glue strip, it unfortunately didn’t live up to its promise. The tape failed to hold the mount in place, which was a bit of a letdown considering the rest of the product’s quality.Not one to be deterred, I resorted to drilling the mount into the wall, which, frankly, wasn’t a huge issue for me but might be for those looking to avoid drilling. Once secured with screws, the mount performed flawlessly, keeping my Apple TV neatly in place and out of the way.My advice to potential buyers: be prepared to look beyond the included adhesive for mounting. The TotalMount is a fantastic solution for Apple TV users seeking a tidy and efficient setup, just be ready to possibly employ a more reliable mounting method. A little tweak to the adhesive quality could easily elevate this product from good to great.

Clean and easy installation to hide cables and the Apple TV 4K
This was perfect to hide the power and HDMI cables from my Apple TV 4K. I peeled the protective cover off of the adhesive, held it on the TV where I wanted it for 60 seconds, set a 45-minute timer to allow it to set, and then slid the Apple TV 4K into the mount. That was it. Clean and easy.
