    Good phone, good price
I just needed a new phone. My old one was shattered, and deactivated like two years ago, but now that I’m going to college, I figure it’s probably time for a new one. This phone looks very nice and sleek. It has fingerprint ID, which is exactly what I was looking for. It also has face ID if you’re into that, not really my thing, but it’s an option.I seen some people complaining about WiFi connection, but I haven’t had an issue with it. It connected to my wifi right away, and it hasn’t dropped signal at all. It even shows how fast the internet speed is, which my old phone didn’t do, so that’s pretty neat.I thought set up was pretty easy, as is with most phones. You can just copy all your apps and stuff over from an old phone, or choose to start fresh.I’m not entirely sure about the battery life. I think it’s alright, but I like to keep my brightness very low, since it hurts my eyes most of the time, so if you have it at full brightness, it may drain faster, and may be a problem, but I think it’s fine right now.I’ll also say, the camera quality is really good. At least way better than my old phone’s cam quality, which is really nice. The only thing I didn’t like about this was that when I ordered it, it didn’t give me a date for it’s arrival for the first few days, so I was a little anxious. But, then they emailed us the date, and it ended up coming early, so it was all alright. All in all, this is a good phone that won’t break budget. Recommended 🙂

    Moto G play 2024.
This is probably one of the best lower tier midrange phones that you could buy and for the money, almost untouchable. It could have more memory, but at least it is expandable. It’s not the brightest screen, but it looks good and comfortable on the eyes and it’s beyond a 60 hz refresh rate so a little light gaming is even nice. Feels great in the hand. The bales aren’t horrible even though it has a single camera with a little patience you can get pretty good photos and stereo sound at this price range. That is actually pretty good sound quality is amazing. I would say molar roller doesn’t quite get the credit it should. The side fingerprint reader. It’s pretty accurate. Not blazing fast, but it does the job. And one thing I do love far as connectivity still having a headphone jack is really nice. Bluetooth has been working fine on it. And was able to do wireless screen, casting. Battery life has been good and as a bonus even has a connection to ChatGPT.

    Adequate backup phone
It’s not bad for a backup phone. I’m not sure I would use it as a primary phone. Major pros are the price, runs Android, easy to activate, fully functional and runs the basics of Android, runs on Verizon’s Network. Cons. Slow recharging speed even using a 35 watt PD fast charger, screen lags and is a little unresponsive on touch, takes about 2 and 1/2 hours initially to download all of the Android updates (luckily you only have to do it once).I needed a cheap backup emergency phone that I would use in case my primary phone konks out. This fits the bill perfectly. It comes with one year year TracFone service albeit with a small amount of data, talk time and number of texts. However, since it’s for me, it’s a backup phone. The one-year plan is a plus, especially at this price. I recommend it.Update 1-21-2026Now that I’ve had and used the phone for a while, I thought I would update my review. I stand by the four stars. It is a good backup phone and for light to moderate use, it’s an okay phone to use.The fingerprint reader is integrated to the on off button .The cable that comes with the phone has a USBC connector on one end and a USBA connector on the other end. The phone doesn’t come with a charger, so if your charger at home is a USB C connector, the cable that comes with the phone won’t work with your charger. You’ll need to order another USBC to USBC cable. Also, the phone only has 64 gig of storage. It does have the capability of expanding storage via MicroSD card. You can pick up a cheap 128 GB SD card Amazon brand. The phone also comes with a SIM tool which what you’ll need because the SD card resides with your Sim card. If you use the SD card for your photos, go into the camera app settings and change where the photos will be kept in your DCIM folder. In your photos app settings under backup scroll down and select backup device folders. Make sure the pictures, folder and dcim folder are backed up from the SD card not the phone.I was able to reduce the lag time on phone startup by deleting most of the bloatware apps that come with the phone. I’d suggest deleting all the apps that you’re not going to use after you activate the phone. That includes a ton of games of the Candy Crush variety.Youtube and ticktock work fine. So it’s okay for playing videos. The phone will walk you through activation but in my case it took about 10 minutes before the process started. I didn’t initiate it. Activation was simple and easy, but you’ll need to sign into the TracFone account app which activation will walk you through.Charging time is still slow even though Motorola says it’s turbocharging. My phone arrived 63% charged and it took 2 and 1/2 hours for it to charge to 100%.. I was using a 35 w PD fast charger to charge the phone. So if you extrapolate how long it took to charge the phone about 40%. It will take about 4 and 1/2 to 5 hours to fully charge a depleted phone. The phone comes with Android 14 as stated and the security updates it took about an hour to install. It stayed on Android 14. No upgrade to Android 15.If you use a third party password manager that is not the Google password manager, you’ll need to make changes to the Chrome browser and autofill settings. To do this Turn you’ll need to enable two optional Chrome flags. In Google search Chrome browser changes for autofill Android 14 Chrome flag settings. The search list three flag settings in Chrome to enabled, but it turns out only two were in the version of Chrome that ships with the phone . Enable those two flags and restart Chrome. There’s a button on the bottom of the flag enable screen that restarts Chrome .Follow the instructions listed in The Google search steps to Enable Third-Party Autofill on Android 14. If you’re using Google password manager, you don’t need to do this.Because the phone only has four MB of RAM. Some apps run on this phone. Doordash is one of them. That’s it. As I said it’s a nice little phone for backup or light to medium use.
