One of the BEST 12v 100w USB-C chargers
Short version:-full power USB-C 90w (plus) charger-12v male plugs fits tightly in socket (good thing)-charge any usb-c device-better than the majority of other “high power 12v chargers”-well worth the money for a quality unitLong version:I spend a lot of time in my car and I am always on the lookout for GOOD 12v high power usb-c chargers to run my MacBook Pro. I own a LOT of 12v usb-c car chargers.This unit is the one, it works very well and everything a little it is top notch.The charger has 5v, 9v, 12v, 15v and 20v protocols. Most laptops that charge via usb-c will use the 20c protocol. This charger claims to do 20v@4.5A (90w). Most chargers on the market over-claim and under deliver. Not this one. My power meter showed this delivering 19.97v@4.57A (91.3 watts!). This is more “real world wattage” than my factory 100w Apple charger.The build quality feels of high quality. It’s made of plastic, but it feels solid. It has a blue led glow when it plugged in and powered. Blue led is a slight glow and not overpoweringly bright (and annoying). USB-C plug looks good and feels stout.In terms of heat level performance, I stress tested this unit by pulling max power (91w) for 2hrs and monitored the body temp/heat with my IR gun. The MAX I noticed it got was 122.9F. So it gets warm but not overly hot to the point where you can’t touch it. This is the result of the unit boosting 12v up to 20v, so it’s unavoidable. Keep in mind this heat level is ONLY if you’re constantly running it at max power for 1+ hour (USB-C negotiations will have to allow it). If you’re just plugged into your laptop, it will do full power until your laptop is almost full then the wattage will automatically taper down.Plugging into my MacBook, I also see 90w+ of power delivery.So if you’re looking for a way to run your laptop on a 12v power source (like your car), this is the charger to get.

Wonderful must have car charger for laptop
Used this car charger for my Dell 5780 laptop today during a 5 hour drive back from Vegas. My laptop battery lasted less than an hour, and the one inverter we had was needed to plug in the Starlink to get the WiFi thru the desert. So, I was very excited to try this out as I desperately needed it to function so I could work thru the trip. And it worked flawlessly. I was really worried it wouldn’t have enough power to charge my computer but it sure did. I am so thrilled with it.

Lenght of cord from DC plug to transformer is about 2 feet and from transformer to laptop plug 4 feet. Plug fits tite in DC plug. Has light to indicate powered.
