An incredibly useful gadget for screen extension
I recently got a new Surface laptop and was eager to find a way to extend my screen to the TV, especially for work presentations and when showing webpages to others. I tried other casting options, but they were not reliable—often with lag or connection drops. This wireless dongle, however, has been perfect. Using the wireless display feature on Windows, I can easily make my TV act as a second monitor and extend my desktop. The setup was straightforward and quick, with no complicated steps. I have not had any connection issues or quality problems since I started using it. The performance is consistent, and it has made my work and sharing much smoother. I plan to buy another one for my living room TV because they are affordable and highly practical. This device is a small investment that offers great value, simplifying my tech setup significantly. I am really happy with this purchase and would suggest it to anyone in a similar situation. The plug and play functionality means no apps or downloads, and the compatibility with various devices makes it versatile. It is a must have for anyone who needs a reliable screen mirroring solution.

My backyard entertainment upgrade made simple
Who says you cannot mix work and pleasure? I have been using this to extend my phone display to my outdoor TV, and it has been a game changer. Picture this: I am reviewing spreadsheets on my laptop while streaming my favorite shows on the patio TV—all without a single cable. The audio stays perfectly synced when I switch to my Bluetooth speaker for better sound. Summer productivity just got a whole lot more enjoyable. The wireless HDMI transmission is stable and reliable, with no lag or quality issues. I have used it for both work and entertainment, and it performs excellently. The setup was easy, and the device is compact and portable. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to upgrade their outdoor or multi room setup. It is a small investment that offers huge benefits, and I would not hesitate to buy it again. The freedom it provides is incredible, making it perfect for casual use or professional needs.

Xbox nomads ideal setup for multi room gaming
As someone who enjoys gaming in different rooms, this transmitter has been a revelation. My Xbox stays in one place while I roam around the house. The only limit now is how far I am willing to walk to retrieve my controller when the battery dies. For multi room gaming within reason, this is an absolute game changer. My pro tip is that it works great through walls too—my basement to living room setup has never been smoother. The wireless HDMI transmission is stable and lag free, making it perfect for gaming and streaming. I have had no issues with connectivity, and the setup was straightforward. This device has made my gaming sessions more flexible and enjoyable. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to game in different areas without moving their console. It is a small investment that offers huge convenience, and I would not hesitate to buy it again. The compatibility with various devices and the easy setup make it a must have for gamers.

Defective… or is it?
I know there are those saying that they had success with this item. I did not. I wasted a lot of time, effort and frustration trying to make it work.First, the HDMI extension cable sent was defective. I tried using it, but the TV would not recognize the adapter. When I plugged in the adapter directly into the TV, it finally was recognized. But that was the limit to my success.Even though I could find the Renkchip link, I could not connect to it. I kept getting “No device found” as I saw the blue “circle of death” going on and on… and on… and on. Apparently, this device I got was defective, but I really had no way of knowing for sure. It could be a problem with my own hardware, but I have no way to troubleshoot that. So I’ve returned it, and will not buy it again. To make matters worse, the writing on the manual is so small as to be unreadable save for the youngest of eyes. I used a magnifier with LED light and still could barely read it. Illustrations were fuzzy and unclear. In addition, they provide another card with instructions that is apparently a “quick start” card, but this is not explained. Also, on this card “screen casting” is listed as “Wireless Projector”… or is it? I had no way of knowing for sure, and wondered if I needed some other app to make it work. This stuff is supposedly easy, so apparently I’m just a dubba. I guess I need to spend more money to get a better item, but after spending much time messing with this one, I really am not that desperate to stream videos from my phone.

Classroom use, just one annoying quirk
I bought this for my classroom. I teach HS math and I use an iPad to project what I’m doing onto the board. Constantly plugging and unplugging cables (I share a classroom as most teachers do) has led to damaged cords and ports. Also, Apple is a pain in the face when it comes to which cords you’re using in their device and if it’s not Apple brand, it won’t always recognize it and then I can’t use the projector… with this thing, you just plug it into the wall on one end and the HDMI port for the projector on the other end… Then you pull down on the iPad where you can select “mirror screen” and after you do that, you pick the option that says Renkchip or something like that… one mildly annoying thing is that the iPad wants to mirror my screen onto all these other devices, but I don’t know what they are nor where they are, but the Renkchip doesn’t always show up so I end up unplugging it from the wall and plugging back in so that my iPad can discover it again… I don’t know why it does that and I do find it to be irritating, if I’m going to be honest, but the ability to project without putting a cord intothe iPad has been really helpful. I’m free to walk around the classroom & I give the iPad to students to do problems… I also find that the colors on the screen seem to look a lot better when I project through this instead of through an HDMI cable.
