Engaging, challenging, and fun activity
This will keep those young minds guessing! I like that the puzzles are detailed and tough!I’m sending this book to my young nephews and nieces, and I’m using it as a prize for my 4th grade classroom activities.The puzzles take 20-30 minutes to complete, so the kids might be amply challenged and engaged to not only search for the words, but also learn new vocabulary in the process.There’s a variety of themes included from Home Improvement, Pizza Toppings, and Plants – so one learns of refreshes on the vocab by these topics. Overall, this is a great activity for young learners!

A puzzle book that’s the perfect challenge level
This Crosswords for Kids book is a great puzzle book for the age group described, 10-12 year old kids. Even older kids could find it fun and challenging. At first glance I wondered why the puzzles were so big when there were only 12 words to find in each, but realized that this ups the challenge level. Also upping the challenge level is that words can be backward AND diagonal in addition to the usual forward/backward vertical/horizontal, and forward-diagonal. I also liked that each puzzle had a theme and that the words themselves could prompt vocabulary discussions with some of my students who may not be familiar with all the words. I like to use crosswords while we do mindfulness time, so I think this book will be a good addition to our classroom collection. Students who enjoy coloring during mindfulness time can also color the little pictures on each page.

Classic and fun puzzle book!
If you’re anything like me, then you love a good word search puzzle! This is a fun word search book for kids, but also a nice option for grown-ups, too. Topics are vast, including countries, foods, holidays, money, and more. This is quickly becoming a favorite puzzle book in our house!
